The Role
Are you a tech-savvy problem-solver with a passion for ensuring optimal network tools performance? If so, look no further - Kyndryl is seeking a Network Tools Specialist who will be the go-to expert for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting network management tools.
As our Network Tools Specialist, you'll be working in a complex, multi-vendor environment, and will use your analytical skills to identify and resolve network tools issues, make configuration changes, and implement security policies. This role requires someone who can think on their feet, test and apply corrective actions (including emergency changes), and participate in change reviews as needed. And with the ever-changing nature of technology, you'll be constantly learning and growing in your role.

You will work alongside a talented team of experts to plan and execute routine network changes, troubleshoot and solve network issues and outages, and maintain excellent communication with our end customers, project managers, and service engineers. You'll be responsible for maintaining network tools components, monitoring network performance, and maintaining network security. You will also be providing user support for tools-related issues, ensuring that our customers receive the highest level of support possible.

Required Skills and Experience
Technical Proficiency: A strong understanding of IT infrastructure and networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP. This knowledge is essential for troubleshooting network-related issues and optimizing network performance.
Tool Proficiency: Minimum 2+ years familiarity and expertise with the specific tools used in the organization's IT infrastructure are crucial. This may include monitoring tools (e.g., Science Logic, Solar Winds, Logic Monitor, Cisco Nexus Dashboard), ticketing systems (e.g. ServiceNow), configuration management tools (e.g Ansible, RestorePoint), DNS management ( Bluecat), Identity and Access management ( CISCO ISE), Network Logs Management (Splunk, syslog-ng and others.
Troubleshooting Skills: The ability to diagnose and resolve issues with infrastructure tools efficiently is essential. This involves logical problem-solving, systematic debugging, and the use of diagnostic tools and techniques.
Analytical Skills: Being able to analyze data and metrics collected by infrastructure tools to identify trends, patterns, and potential issues is important for proactive monitoring and problem prevention.
Communication Skills: Effective communication is crucial for collaborating with team members, providing user support, and liaising with vendors and stakeholders. This includes clear verbal and written communication in English, active listening, and the ability to convey technical information to non-technical audiences.
Customer Service Orientation: A focus on providing excellent customer service to end-users and stakeholders is key. This involves being responsive to user queries and issues, empathizing with their needs, and striving to exceed their expectations.
Adaptability and Learning Agility: The IT landscape is constantly evolving, so a willingness to learn new technologies, adapt to changes, and stay updated on industry trends is crucial for long-term success in the role.
Security Awareness: Understanding basic cybersecurity principles and best practices is important for safeguarding infrastructure tools and sensitive data from potential threats and vulnerabilities.
ITIL Framework: Understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) principles and processes, particularly Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, and Service Request Management. Experience with ITIL framework and familiarity with ITSM tools like ServiceNow is beneficial.
