The Role
Network Architects are the key link between Kyndryl and our clients. You're in a technical leadership role, uniting and guiding stakeholders from clients, governance, and project executives to delivery and sometimes even the vendors who work with the client. You'll be there from the start of a project - understanding what's needed and figuring out the best technical solution. And you'll be there at the finish, delivering the right product on time and within budget.

We are seeking a Network Architect with experience in architecting and implementing a wide range of workloads in a virtual private cloud. The successful candidate will design and facilitate the technical buildout of network infrastructure in both private and public cloud environments. They will provide innovative cloud networking design solutions that offer high-end network services, accommodating complex client connectivity requirements across public, private, and hybrid cloud models. We are looking for a passionate and skilled individual to help us deliver next-generation cloud networking services to our clients.

Who You Are
This is a technical, hands-on, customer-facing role. Candidates must be able to earn the trust of customers and partners at all levels, from executives to developers. We're looking for builders to help us innovate the future of IBM cloud computing. Ideal candidates should possess excellent organizational skills and the ability to efficiently multi-task.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- 5 years of solution design experience working with public, private and hybrid cloud models.
- 5 years of cloud networking or cloud-based networking solution design experience.
- 5+ years of experience in a customer-facing, consultative technical sales or professional services organization.
- 2 years configuring troubleshooting and supporting IPSEC VPN.
- Solid understanding of configuring and troubleshooting BGP (eBGP and iBGP) dynamic routing.
- Solid understanding of switching and routing fundamentals.
- Solid understanding of Network Access Control List design and troubleshooting.
- Solid understanding of Cloud Computing Services (IaaS and PaaS).
- Work with distributed teams to design and develop cloud networking solutions frameworks, and proofs of concepts for external customer-facing business needs.
- Experience working with business teams to translate business goals into reliable technical network solutions and advising business teams on optimal network technological strategies to achieve business results.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and a proven track record of building consensus across diverse groups of stakeholders.
- Tackle challenges with a solutions-oriented, systems-thinking approach.
- Ability to drive progress independently as well as problem-solve collaboratively.
- Ability to be flexible and thrive in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Containers, Microservices, APIs, automation.
- Prior IT architectural experience in the banking and insurance sector is highly preferred.
- SDWAN, MPLS, WAN implementation,, Juniper, FortiGate, Palo Alto, Cisco, VMware VCF, NSX.
- Linux network diagnosis tools: ping, mtr, traceroute, dig, curl, tcpdump.
- Packet analysis tools eg. Wireshark.
- Network security: IDS\IPS, NGFW, SIEM and hybrid (Alert Logic, Q-radar, Snort, Sentinel).
- Load balancers, VLANs, VPNs, Gateways/Firewalls.
- Certifications: VMware, Cisco, ITIL, Security.
