About the Role:
CrowdStrike Information Technology is seeking a Principal Enterprise Network Architect to join the IT Network Engineering team. This individual will play a key role in driving network architecture within a collaborative environment that will enable the team to build and support enterprise network infrastructure at global scale. In support of the role, the successful candidate will create a strategic roadmap in alignment with industry best practices and drive implementation by providing technical leadership to functional and dynamic teams.

What You'll Do:
- Collaborate with team members, IT leadership, and enterprise stakeholders on cloud, data center, and premise network architecture for global scale; document problem statements, project requirements, and current state network architecture.
- Lead the development of a strategic roadmap for networking at global scale; drive ongoing efforts to ensure that the strategic roadmap is continually aligned with IT Operations and business objectives.
- Provide clear and concise recommendations to remediate performance/scaling bottlenecks.
- Create and update graphical and written network architecture documentation following industry best practices.
- Maintain expertise in routing, switching, load balancing, wireless networking, and network security technologies to ensure that cost-effective solutions and processes are deployed and aligned with business and security needs.
- Monitor network infrastructure and traffic; identify and document problem areas and recommend network infrastructure and performance improvements based on current and projected enterprise network environment.
- Assess new technologies and best practices for adoption.
- Drive standardization and automation in all aspects of the network environment.
- Create and maintain graphical and written network architecture, infrastructure, and technical standards documentation.
- Communicate with all stakeholders in a timely, clear, and concise manner.
- Prepare and deliver professional presentations to technical and non-technical audiences at all levels.
- Provide technical leadership to functional project teams and cross-team major initiatives.
- 10+ years' experience architecting scalable cloud, data center, and office network infrastructure using public cloud technology and enterprise-class routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless networking devices; demonstrated large-scale success with both greenfield and brownfield network architecture initiatives is a must.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with members of multiple teams in multiple global regions; demonstrated experience as a people leader is a must.
- 10+ years' experience with OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, and multicast routing protocols, Voice Over IP, and QoS configuration on routers and switches in enterprise environments using IPv4.
- 5+ years' experience architecting multi-region/AZ/VPC cloud and hybrid cloud networks within AWS and other major public cloud environments, including GCP and/or Azure; AWS experience must include AWS VPN, Direct Connect, transit gateway, VPC peering, Network ACLs and security groups, ELB, Route 53; experience with other public cloud environments must include the equivalent cloud networking elements.
- 5+ years' experience configuring, managing, and monitoring Palo Alto Networks firewalls using Panorama.
- Experience managing and deploying premise and Global Server Load Balancing (GSLB) platforms such as F5 Networks LTM/GTM.
- 5+ years' experience with enterprise wireless networking solutions such as Aruba, Cisco, or Meraki.
- Demonstrated experience with network configuration management and monitoring tools.
- Demonstrated experience with access control technologies such as Cisco ISE and Aruba ClearPass Policy Manager.
- Experience with documentation and presentation tools such as Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Visio, and Atlassian Wiki.
- Must speak fluent English and communicate clearly in written English.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and own a working vehicle with current registration and insurance.
- Must be capable of lifting 50 lbs.
- Must be willing to travel occasionally to data centers, CrowdStrike offices, and other locations.
- Public cloud architecture and networking certification (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Advanced Cisco networking certification (CCNP R&S, CCIE R&S).
- Advanced understanding of IP addressing and subnetting, TCP/IP, and DNS.
- Proficiency with protocol and log analysis tools.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language such as Python or shell scripting.
- Proficiency with SD-WAN and network automation using orchestration platforms, scripting, and REST APIs.
- Willingness to represent IT with professionalism, demonstrating CrowdStrike core values and behaviors.
- Strong interest in continuing networking education and certification.
