The Role

Infrastructure Specialists at Kyndryl are project-based subject matter experts in all things infrastructure - good at providing analysis, documenting and diagraming work for hand-off, offering timely solutions, and generally "figuring it out." This is a hands-on role where your feel for the interaction between a system and its environment will be invaluable to every one of your clients.

Provide capacity planning, performance analysis, develop disaster recovery plans, lead efforts towards storage consolidation and identify storage growth, manage configurations of storage devices and software. Organize and apply storage patching based on APAC storage patching policy

Responsibilities Include:-

  • Implementation Support - Design, plan, and set up applications and storage in a Unix/Linux and Windows NetApp SAN environment (disk layout, RAID levels, ) to ensure performance and data availability

    Planning, coordinating, and upgrading components of the Storage and SAN as needed with software, hardware and microcode upgrades
  • Monitoring and analysis of statistics on storage utilization and performance
  • Execute storage security hardening according to global policy
  • Take ownership of infrastructure projects and initiatives as assigned
  • Take responsibility in the on-call duty in rotating shift with other team members
  • Ability to break complex problems down into actionable solutions
  • Design solutions that empower our team and our next generation to succeed
  • Communicate with Server Administrator and management when pre-planned outages will occur through Change Management System

Who You Are

Required Technical & Professional Experience:

  • 9+ years of experience on IBM V7000, IBM Flash storage, IBM V5030, IBM Flash system 5000
  • Experience in Cisco & Brocade SAN Switches
  • Ready to support 24*7 and extended shifts
  • Troubleshoot performance issues on SAN switches and storage arrays
  • Engineer automation and deployment tools for every part of our storage systems
  • Set up and maintain enterprise storage infrastructure architecture
  • Execute storage security hardening according to global policy

Preferred Technical & Professional Experience:

  • Backup and recovery software
  • College degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline
  • At least 6 months experience in IT Services Delivery
  • Deep IT industry insights and more than 3Years IT industry working experience
  • Perform maintenance or upgrades after hours or on weekends, minimizing impact on businesses and users
