The Role

The Early Professional Hire Lead role in Japan will provide cross-team collaboration to deliver high quality and efficient hiring fulfillment of entry level needs. The Early Professional Hire Lead will achieve this:

By working closely with the Early Careers Talent Acquisition team, the Strategic Talent Acquisition Leader in Japan, Japan business leaders, and the Japan Recruitment Process Outsourcing team to understand hiring needs and support the development and implementation of a high quality candidate sourcing, assessment, and offer attainment plan. By monitoring pipeline metrics to ensure adequate and timely candidate flow and providing weekly updates to report progress. By continuously working to make Kyndryl a diverse workplace by creating strong ID&E strategies By identifying problem areas and necessary actions with the Recruitment Process Outsourcing team and business teams. By working closely with Recruitment Process Outsourcing team on any process related challenges. Effectively communicating the challenges to Japan Strategic Talent Acquisition Leader to help improve processes for Recruitment Process Outsourcing team, business and Talent Acquisition. By reviewing current hiring best practices during business cadence calls, identifying suggestions for improvement, and helping implement improvements to process, tools and platforms. By attending relevant HR meetings and business meetings to provide recruiting updates. By working with Kyndryl global teams as necessary for any process related changes or communication.

Responsibilities include:

  • Support design and implementation of university and Early Professional Hiring recruitment strategy and sourcing plan in partnership with Talent Acquisition and marketing, including offline and online campus and career events, job board and social presence, advertisements and marketing messages
  • Research university websites for posting, event, student attraction opportunities to support university tiers for on campus presence and virtual outreach
  • Connect with selected university career placement centers and student groups to share our employment opportunities and to select/register/plan campus activities.
  • Maintain budget and schedule of activities
  • Oversee event preparation activities for offline and online events using planning lists. Example tasks include schedule creation, engagement of participants and assignment of roles, invitations and communication, team preparation/training, facility preparation, presentations, thank you notes
  • Partner on execution of required forms/registration/payment at select universities
  • Lead campus event preparation activities leading up to planned visits
  • Work with Campus Ambassadors to support their efforts in deepening our campus relationships. Support can include enabling with guidance, assets, and messages to use with administrators, faculty, organizations, and students
  • Plan and orchestration of pre-hire Keep Warm plan
  • Advise in preparation of marketing needs to attract candidates and to keep them engaged and excited
  • Provide management and quality checks on ad/banner placements, social posts, and job board presence
  • Support and coordination for Offer and Welcome Ceremonies
  • Translate and localize global materials for local use
  • Document and assess the return on investment for all activities undertaken using Workday data and AOL online platform reporting capability to analyze sourcing and pipeline metrics.

Who You Are

Skills:

  • Experience in technology business environment for minimum of 4 years, ideally in recruitment, marketing, or event planning
  • Experience in project management and multi-tasking, ideally including event management
  • Knowledge of Early Professional Hire market drivers
  • Understanding of data driven recruitment and decision making, with ability to analyze data multiple information sources to support the Early Professional Hire recruiting strategy
  • Appreciation and understanding of Employee Value Proposition, Marketing and talent branding
  • Ability to work with various teams including business teams, hiring managers, Talent Acquisition, Recruitment Process Outsourcing team, marketing, learning
  • Ability to represent Kyndryl and Early Professional Hire employment opportunities to university contacts and students
  • Strong organizational, communication, collaboration, and leadership capabilities to motivate, coach, and bring together various teams
  • Empathetic approach, good listening skills, collaboration and self/independent drive
  • Ability to work in the office 2-3 days per week (Roppongi Hills office)
  • Fluent Japanese and English speaking skills
