JOB DESCRIPTION

Manage talent management modules (talent acquisition, onboarding, learning, talent management, succession planning) within company HCM system as well as HR systems special projects. Serve as the technical point of contact for functional areas as supported by talent management modules, and assist with managing data integrity, implementing system configurations, providing system analytics and designing process improvements. Act as a main point of contact for third-party vendors integrating with internal HR systems. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Champion the use and adoption of applicable modules within the Oracle software suite
  • Champion the adoption of emerging technologies, such as AI and bots, and drive the implementation of new Oracle product features to enhance operational efficiency and drive innovation
  • Oversee requirements gathering, fit gap analysis, business process mapping/re-engineering, system configuration, data conversion and creation/execution of testing plans for talent management modules within Oracle HCM
  • Oversee and manage updates/configurations within Oracle Guided Learning in partnership with other module business owners, admins, KTD and Oracle managed services
  • Collaborate with business owners, technology partners and other HR admins to understand impacts of changes/enhancements across modules
  • Ensure project requirements and/or objectives are properly documented in a business case and vigorously pursued to deliver the final product
  • Function as a project manager for talent management module enhancements, quarterly releases and maintenance projects, including a review of enhancement releases with business process owners and system administrators
  • Partner with business owners with vendor partners responsible for external HR systems
  • Oversee the system and process integration of annual talent management/HR business cycles for performance management, succession planning and compensation planning
  • Collaborate with Kroger Technology to oversee end user support and ensure resolution cases are addressed
  • Manage the day-to-day priorities/responsibilities of the talent management system administrators
  • Partner with third-party integration vendors to remain current on system specifications and releases, and communicate updates/changes to impacted stakeholders
  • Establish relationships with division HR leaders to gather system feedback, identify opportunities for process improvements and ascertain change management impacts
  • Provide recommendations to HR leadership for improvements, enhancements, suggestions for more effective operational processes and system reporting
  • Travel to division offices, stores, sites, plants as needed (up to 10%)
  • Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum
  • 5+ years of systems database or systems management experience
  • Previous experience working with Oracle or similar enterprise talent management systems
  • Strong functional knowledge supporting HR systems
  • Strong knowledge of human resources policies, procedures and practices
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts in nontechnical terms
  • Strong customer service skills with a keen sense of urgency
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to learn and understand software applications and perform technical tasks quickly/accurately
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to manage stakeholder expectations and lead projects
  • Experience preparing and leading system integration and user acceptance testing

Desired
  • Bachelor's degree human resources, business or computer science
  • 3+ years of project management experience
