JOB DESCRIPTION
Provide day-to-day expertise, education, and administration on all leaves of absence benefits and policies. Liaison between Total Rewards team and internal stakeholders specific to leaves of absence benefits and policies in assigned line of business. Serve as the day-to-day administrator, ensuring timely execution of all programs in compliance with company policies and local, state and federal regulations in assigned line of business. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee daily administration and decision making of leave programs/policies for assigned lines of business in accordance with federal, state laws and provisions of collective bargaining agreements

- Own administration and decision making for the company's Unemployment Claim and return to work interactive processes
- Serve as the subject matter expert for leave programs under the general direction and guidance of Total Rewards leadership and legal consultation
- Work closely with managers, internal investigators, employee relations and labor relations to identify, research and resolve matters of alleged leave claim fraud activity
- Educate associates and leaders and help them navigate the various leave options and impact to pay
- Serve as the primary point of contact for verbal, written and electronic communications with associates and managers regarding all leaves of absence and related processes
- Partner with leave administration vendor partners in leave claims processes
- Maintain and update systems, ensuring accurate tracking and supporting documentation related to leaves of absences
- Identify policies and procedures that are inconsistent or that interfere with timely claims processing and provide input to COE
- Maintain current knowledge of Family Medical Leave Act, military leaves, Americans with Disability Act, and other applicable federal and state leave laws and company leave policies
- Influence process improvements to leave administration
- Travel up to 20% to divisions, assigned lines of business, and General Office

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum
- 2+ years of experience in in leave of absence administration
- Excellent written/oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
- Self-starter requiring minimal supervision with the ability to support requests from multiple directions
- Basic knowledge of Family Medical Leave Act, military leaves, and other applicable federal and state leave laws
- Ability to collaborate within and across different lines of business
- Strong business acumen, including strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking and self-initiative
- Ability to influence and partner with different levels of the organization to achieve results
Desired
- Bachelor's Degree human resources or related field
- Certified Benefits Professional (CBP)
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification
