We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sustainable Technologies Professional to join our team.  You will play a crucial role in supporting the company’s transformation and growth by leading our efforts in identifying, coordinating, and implementing sustainability projects across our industrial manufacturing and commercial/hospitality sectors. This role is critical in enhancing our environmental stewardship and operational efficiency through innovative solutions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of commercial and industrial utility systems and solid experience conducting energy audits, analyzing data, and developing innovative recommendations, and executing energy efficiency projects.

These functions are on a global scale and international travel could be required. Onsite presence is preferred; however, a hybrid remote/on-site arrangement will be considered for the ideal candidate. On-site presence is expected as dictated by project requirements.

Specific Responsibilities

•Strategic Communication: Foster relationships with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring clear, impactful communication of project goals and updates. Simplify complex information for clarity and alignment. Candidates must demonstrate a strong ability to communicate effectively with both operational teams and senior leadership and use interpersonal savvy to navigate organizational complexities to partner effectively on energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives.
•Conduct Efficiency Audits: Perform thorough audits of utility and building systems, which can include boilers, chillers, water usage and treatment systems, lighting, HVAC, and other systems used in manufacturing or commercial environments. Analyze data, collect relevant information, and assess the overall efficiency of these systems. Identify potential for improvement in energy and water usage and provide recommended solutions.
•Project Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive project proposals and prepare well-researched, data-driven recommendations aimed at enhancing efficiency, reducing waste, and optimizing water consumption.
•Project Oversight: Oversee the execution of approved efficiency improvement projects, ensuring that they are implemented according to the proposed specifications, timelines, and budgets.
•Monitoring and Reporting: Continuously monitor the progress and effectiveness of efficiency improvement projects, analyzing data and generating regular reports to track performance and return on investment.
•Environmental/Safety Compliance: Partner with internal subject-matter experts to ensure all projects comply with relevant regulations and safety standards, maintaining a safe working environment during and after project execution


Skills/Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, sustainability, or related field. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
•8+ years of proven experience in energy efficiency, utility management, or sustainability within industrial or commercial sectors.
•Strong understanding of commercial and industrial utility systems, e.g., boilers, compressors, HVAC systems, lighting
•Knowledge of water reuse systems, including water treatment systems, wastewater treatment systems, and water reuse.
•Demonstrated project management skills, with the ability to lead projects from inception to completion.
•Commitment to staying informed on the latest in energy efficiency technologies and sustainability practices.
•Excellent analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis and presentation tools.
•Project management experience and the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
•Passion for sustainability and a commitment to driving positive environmental impact.
•Extremely well-developed computer skills, e.g., Outlook, PowerBI, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Adobe, Bluebeam.
•Familiarity with FM Global and safety standards in industrial manufacturing settings a plus.
•CEM or other relevant certifications and knowledge of relevant codes and industry standards highly desired. PMP certification a plus.


The salary range for this position is $113,000 - $143,950. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location.  Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
