Role Title: Senior Finance Manager (G&A)

Reporting to: CFO

Location: Sunnyvale, CA

Role Purpose:

As a Senior Manager of Finance, you will provide essential leadership and support to the Finance team, with a primary focus on general and administrative (G&A) functions, including human resources, legal, and IT. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will play a pivotal role in managing financial planning, analysis, and operations for the company’s G&A functions. Your expertise will support strategic decision-making and optimize resource allocation to align with company goals.

Example Responsibilities:

  • Lead financial planning and analysis for all G&A functions, including HR, legal, and IT
  • Partner with department heads to develop budgets, track performance, and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Ensure alignment with the CFO and other stakeholders on financial strategies for G&A functions
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, ensuring accuracy and actionable insights
  • Develop and maintain reporting tools to track key performance indicators (KPIs) across G&A departments
  • Collaborate with HR and IT to optimize workforce and technology costs
  • Monitor and manage departmental expenses to ensure alignment with budgetary goals
  • Drive process improvements in G&A financial operations and reporting
  • Communicate financial results and strategies effectively to both finance and non-finance stakeholders
  • Support corporate initiatives, including compliance, risk management, and resource allocation projects
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the CFO and senior leadership team on financial matters related to G&A functions
  • Lead or participate in special projects as needed

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in finance, preferably with a focus on G&A or operational support functions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently
  • Proficiency in financial reporting tools such as Excel; experience with NetSuite and other financial systems is a plus
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
  • Demonstrated success in driving process improvements and cost efficiencies
  • Experience in a SaaS or transaction-based company is preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
