Job Summary:

As a Senior Events Manager within J.P. Morgan's Private Bank events team, you will play a key role in event strategy, bringing creative ideas, suggested venues and proposed content to the market with considerable thought to strategic execution. Your focus will primarily be on local/regional client events, but at times, you will be involved in larger events targeting a global client base. You will interact with colleagues on the global events team, a wide range of front office colleagues, senior management and product partners, ensuring a consistent and distinctive experience. In addition, you will work on multiple event projects simultaneously, ranging from large events, to intimate roundtable dinner discussions, both in-person and virtual experiences. You may be required to work outside of regular business hours and travel frequently.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop an event strategy that supports business goals.
  • Create and execute high-touch events consistent with J.P. Morgan Private Bank brand standards. Good knowledge of Asia region - key cities, venues and able to stay current with local trends.
  • Conduct event management tasks from start to finish including maintaining event calendars, budgets, negotiation with vendors, invoice processing, production of event materials, and onsite staffing. Onsite event staffing may include speaker management, vendor coordination, registration management and oversight of presentations/AV needs.
  • Participate in team meetings to provide event updates, strategic event expertise and understand local business goals.
  • Liaise with other J.P. Morgan lines of business to leverage and consolidate ideas, shared resources and cross sell event opportunities. May also be asked to assist on special projects.
  • Manage event communications via our event management platform (invitation and website creation, reminder and post-event communications). Strong emphasis on data management throughout the event planning process, including post-event tracking and ROI analysis
  • Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years prior and solid experience in event management field.
  • Dynamic and independent team player who possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills in delivering exceptional client services, showcasing the ability to proactively engage multiple stakeholders at all levels of seniority to meet strict timelines and operate with strong sense of ownership and urgency.
  • Ability to think strategically, problem solve offer creative solutions and operate autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized with strong proficiency in digital tools such as Excel, Word & PowerPoint, Event Management Platforms.
  • Proficient in Excel with a strong grasp of formulas.
  • Excellent written, communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex matters in a concise and meaningful way.
  • Must have the willingness to travel frequently and flexibility to work across different geography, time-zones
  • Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
  • Experience in Banking, Wealth Management and/or Luxury houses is an added advantage.
  • Fluent written and spoken Business Mandarin is preferred to support Chinese speaking clients from China.
