The Advisor Performance Management and Incentive Strategyteam is responsible for end-to-end design and oversight of our incentive strategy. We explore compensation design options that consider every aspect of our business, including advisor roles and responsibilities, advisor development and transitions, attraction and retention, business channel alignment, industry peers and benchmarks, regulatory and statutory requirements, as well as connection to other J.P. Morgan communities including Investment Banking, Consumer Banking, and the Private Bank. This also includes programs to better serve clients through Advisor collaboration and partnership, including Advisor Teaming, cross line-of-business incentives, Advisor retirement, and career progression programs.

Job summary:

The Product & Experience Sr Product Associate for Advisor Compensation & Performance Platform will own the end-to-end oversight and vision for our incentive compensation environment. This accountability spans a wide network for systems, tools, and processes that are used to credit performance, score metrics, and report results. The role will partner with other product teams, designers, and technology teams across JPMWM and the broader JPM Chase organization to deliver an intuitive, controlled, and seamless experience for all JPMWM clients and Advisors. The ideal candidate is comfortable leading large-scale initiatives, influencing across product lines, and managing senior stakeholders. Additionally, this role will also help to drive our initiatives on relationship management, metrics, and householding.

This role will support with the legacy Compensation platforms and serve as the primary Product analyst on a day-to-day basis including comprehensive supervision of the incentive compensation environment, collaboration with various teams, and contribution to relationship management initiatives. . This high exposure role will play an important role in the delivery and execution of our Advisor performance management and incentive programs, and have a meaningful contribution to our ambitious business goals. This role will report directly to the Head of JPMWM Advisor Performance Product and Platform.

Job Responsibilities

  • Establish the scope and operations for a new product space dedicated to Advisor Performance Management solutions
  • Work with data architects to map the end-to-end crediting process for the current state; propose and own the streamlined vision
  • Drive strategic solutions to solve real-world client, Advisor, and operational challenges; build out multi-year product roadmap and translate product strategy into actionable deliverables
  • Develop clear understanding/documentation of compensation crediting rules for revenue, flows, and other Advisor performance metrics
  • Work with other Product Owners to introduce cross-system controls/audits/reconciliation; establish OKRs and other performance metrics, including a new audit process to inspect firm vs. credited revenue
  • Own and prioritize compensation-specific system changes with coordination between our strategic objectives and technical requirements. Be the main decision maker in determining trade-offs based on known considerations.
  • Work with technical teams aligned to Advisor Compensation to confirm the output delivered meets expectations; have a client-centric and Advisor-focused mindset to create thoughtful solutions.
  • Generate ideas for continuous improvement and process improvements to promote productivity, efficiency, and increased collaboration across multiple scrum teams
  • Develop implementation project plans and collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to execute on them. Track project progress and report effectively on status, barriers, and changes. Accountable for creating, maintaining and communicating schedules, scorecards and status updates. Monitor ongoing health or success of products post-launch.
  • Expand our vision of incentive compensation to include practice management metrics/principles.
  • Work with downstream reporting solutions, incentive compensation management tools, and data publishing

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 3 + years of product management or business analyst with knowledge of SQL queries experience with a strong analytical background; compensation, project management and Wealth Management experience
  • Strong organizations skills - able to balance multiple priorities; has a strong attention to detail and exercises a control-oriented mindset.
  • Demonstrates intellectual curiosity and honesty - seek out the truth and ground decisions in the facts
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, ability to act independently, demonstrate leadership and take initiative but work equally well within a dynamic and fast-paced team environment
  • Thinks analytically and logically to understand and analyze complex business processes
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; capable of concision and brevity
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills; adept at presenting to large and small groups, and has the ability to interact with colleagues and leaders at all levels and achieve goals.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Digital product launch and lifecycle management experience; experience with Agile is a plus
  • Good judgment and discretion working with highly confidential information
  • Strong sense of accountability, responsibility and initiative
