Join Chase's ATM Claims and Exceptions team to ensure smooth financial transactions and seize opportunities for growth with a dynamic team.
As a Transactions Specialist II in the ATM Claims Department, you will enhance the customer experience by researching and resolving Chase ATM-related customer exceptions. These exceptions include, but are not limited to, missing deposits, deposit posting errors, customer claims, and diverted transactions. You will also manage ATM deposit cash ownership, which involves researching outages, identifying counterfeit transactions, tracking missing settlements, ensuring vendor/branch process compliance, and driving process improvements. You will develop partnerships with ATM branches and vendors while gaining insights into hardware nuances to effectively communicate potential ATM settlement issues.

Job responsibilities
- Review, research, and resolve general ledger differences and ATM deposit customer claims using multiple internal application systems.
- Communicate with various departments via telephone, email, and application comments in TRANE, CCS, and Microsoft Excel.
- Post clearing entries for resolved exceptions in Microsoft Excel, write physical debit and credit tickets, create electronic entries, and generate Photo-in-lieu of checks for processing.
- Resolve research requests originating from business partners.
- Complete daily productivity reports using Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Demonstrate extensive understanding of bank accounting and ability to perform advanced mathematical functions.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Exhibit strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Utilize department policies and procedures to prioritize the resolution of open items and look beyond the obvious to resolve complex exception items.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, as you will spend at least 25% of your time communicating with others to assist in resolving exception items or detailing their resolution.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Have some college education or four or more years of banking experience in a research-oriented position with potential customer impact.
- Experience with SAP is a plus.
