Job Summary
As a Trade & Working Capital 'Client Activation' Vice President in the Trade & Working Capital division of J.P. Morgan Payments, you will be responsible for promoting profitable growth in mandates across a large and diverse portfolio of European HQ clients to meet their local and outbound requirements and inbound requirements of our Subsidiary clients.

Job Responsibilities

  • Own a large and diverse client portfolio within J.P. Morgan's new EMEA 'Client Activation' team, driving the achievement of business goals including annual sales plan at target margins.
  • Originate and structure new opportunities with clients across Core Trade and Structured Trade solutions covering Supply Chain Finance, Dynamic Discounting, Sales Finance & Inventory Finance.
  • Collaborate with Product, Operations & Service partners, and evaluate opportunities to employ AI and other technologies to efficiently capture high volume low value Core Trade origination opportunities at scale.
  • Work with Payments functional collaborators and coverage bankers to promote the execution of the sales strategy, achieve new business sales objectives, expand market share, and increase the share of wallet with targeted clients.
  • Develop compelling financial and working capital analysis to formulate proposals for new businesses.
  • Oversee the management of the entire sales process and end-to-end onboarding and implementation process for new local clients.
  • Deliver the firm's culture and conduct standards, including training and supervision of staff; assess the fitness and propriety of any Certified staff; and escalate any breaches of the Code of Conduct in accordance with firm-wide policies and procedures.
  • Represent T&WC externally at a range of industry forums and events, and partake in industry consultations.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Established sales leader with 5 years+ experience in Trade, Transaction Banking, and managing complex client relationships and teams.
  • A self-starter who thrives with the challenge of building, preferably with a track record of successfully leading ambitious strategic initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of Credit and all TWC solutions.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in a matrix organization, work under pressure, and meet tight timeframes.
  • Effective collaboration, relationship-building, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong team player with excellent negotiation, influence, and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial tools like Bloomberg, Capital IQ, etc.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Knowledge of AI and trends/applications within the TWC space.
  • Exposure to various functions including sales, client service, and operations preferred.
  • European language skills would be a significant positive, especially among Spanish, Italian, German, and French.
  • This role is ideal for someone with extensive experience in trade sales and client relationship management, who can thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and contribute to strategic initiatives.
