Job Responsibilities:
- Participate actively in firm-wide strategic initiatives to identify process improvements and efficiency opportunities in the daily workflow on Equity products.
- Utilize knowledge of the technical infrastructure that supports the business effectively for daily tasks. Ensure all transactions are correctly matched for smooth settlement.
- Pre-match and settle equity trades (including Priority client focus). Manage delivery, cross depot stock movements, identify and instruct payment processing, SBL intraday activity, and escalate and resolve failing trades.
- Instruct bond conversions, both physical and ADRs. Validate interest claims, auto-borrow reports, and conduct daily high/credit risk reporting.
- Resolve cash and stock breaks by working closely with the Reconciliations team and verify manual instructions.
- Participate continuously in projects involving new system implementation, process improvements, etc. Take ownership of work, problems, clarify issues/objections, and ensure data integrity, accuracy, and completeness.
- Work closely with the Business (Desk Heads, Global and Regional Business Managers) to understand their needs, priorities, and issues.
- Collaborate closely with technology partners to design the right solutions and implement requirements for future state, focusing on priorities and efficiency savings.
- Perform cost-benefit analysis to propose the optimum future process to the business. Gather requirements for the build of the future state, clearly documenting workflows, E2E processes, controls along the lifecycle, and new roles and responsibilities.
Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities:
- A strong control mindset and adherence to a high degree of business ethics
- In-depth experience with equity products and global markets
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to pick up complex systems architecture easily
- Experience in driving global initiatives and affecting change in a large organization
- Ability to multitask, ensuring the trades are booked correctly, breaks are resolved and MIS being sent to managers on deadlines.
- Contributes to an environment of collaboration and mutual responsibility
- Graduate with minimum 2 years of experience
