The Testing CoE (Center of Excellence) is an essential part of our company's commitment to maintaining a strong, consistent control environment through continuous, rigorous evaluation of control adequacy and effectiveness across the Firm.The newly established Testing CoE brings together skilled monitoring, testing, and evaluation experts from across the globe into one team focused on shared best practices, the development of innovative processes and tools, and committed to the continued advancement of the Firm's Risk and Control framework.

As a Control Testing Lead within the Firmwide Finance, Treasury and Chief Investment Office (TCIO) & Acquisitions and Strategic Investments (ASI) Testing Center of Excellence (CoE) team, you will be a key player in the Sarbanes-Oxley Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAP), CORE & Substantive control testing and Issue Validation process. Your role will involve utilizing your collaboration and analytical skills to contribute to the broader Testing CoE's overall success and enhance the firm's compliance with regulatory obligations and industry standards. As part of the Consumer and Community Banking (CCB) Finance Control Testing team in the Firmwide finance, TCIO & ASI TCoE, you will offer support to the newly established Control Management Testing Center of Excellence (CoE), which consolidates testing activities and programs currently executed separately in the First Line of Defense (1LOD) and Second Line of Defense (2LOD) to execute a range of risk-based assessments. In this senior level position within the new CoE, you will manage a team to develop and execute an end-to-end controls testing strategy for the Consumer and Community Banking (CCB) Line of business.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead a team in evaluating risk across the CCB (Consumer & Community Banking) Finance through a series of monitoring and testing activities across the organization.
  • Partner with key stakeholders from 1st Line, 2nd Line, and control owners to strategize assessment approach and analyze impact of results.
  • Guide team in control testing and substantive reviews through a risk-based method to determine potential exposure to the CCB LOB
  • Overall accountability in driving the SOX CCAP, CORE and Substantive testing for CCB Finance and ensure the control testing is completed with the respective due dates.
  • Navigate regulatory and compliance landscape when defining assessment approach and strategy; ensure compliance assessment requirements across a complex regulatory environment are addressed through testing results.
  • Collaborates with other Testing Leads in Finance, TCoE to ensure consistency, identify integration points.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to a team of professionals, serving as a functional leader to the CCB Finance Testing team.
  • Partner with business to identify control gaps as well as opportunities for effectiveness and efficiency improvements.
  • Participate in Testing CoE process improvements and transformation as the organization develops and matures during its early stages.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • CA / CPA / MBA Finance
  • 12+ years of experience into the areas of Internal audit / Internal Control / SOX testing
  • Experience in global stakeholder management
  • Experience in leading larger teams
  • Ability to effectively provide team guidance and set clear direction to manage competing priorities while driving focus on targeted execution.
  • Strong stakeholder management and written/oral communication skills at a senior executive level.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex issues, develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, and effectively communicate recommendations based on regulatory guidance and standards.
  • Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements for the Treasury and Chief Investment Office function

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Knowledge of data analytical tools such as Tableau, Alteryx or Python is a plus.
