The Applied Innovation of AI (AI2) team is an elite machine learning group strategically located within the CTO office of JP Morgan Chase. AI2 tackle business critical priorities using innovative machine learning techniques and technologies with a focus on AI for Data, Software, Cybersecurity & Controls and Technology Infrastructure. The team partners closely with all lines of business and engineering teams across the firm to execute long-term projects in these areas that require significant machine learning development to support JPMC businesses as they grow. We are looking for excellent UI/UX engineers to help us with the design, development, deployment, delivery, and maintenance of AI products to our clients. In this role, you will be working with other engineers and data scientists in building and maintaining software and infrastructure that supports our team in developing and delivering disruptive AI products that serve our customers in production.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with data scientists and machine learning engineers to deliver user-centric AI products to production.
  • Design and develop user interfaces using modern web technologies, ensuring seamless integration with backend systems.
  • Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, and process flows to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
  • Build and maintain frontend interfaces leveraging frameworks like React or Vue.js.
  • Rapidly prototype and iterate on UI designs to shorten development cycles for our AI/ML products.
  • Ensure the scalability and responsiveness of UI components across various devices and platforms.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and feedback, refining designs to meet user needs.
  • Improve and maintain our automated CI/CD pipeline for frontend deployments.
  • Enhance deployment velocity by streamlining the process for deploying UI components into production.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in UI/UX design and development, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work.
  • Proficiency in web development frameworks such as React, Vue.js, or similar.
  • Strong skills in design tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
  • Work-related experience in frontend engineering role.
  • Passion for creating exceptional user experiences with attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; able to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
  • Experience with containerization and infrastructure as code: Docker/Kubernetes/Terraform.
