About the Role:

Our Foundry Team is seeking a Backend/Cloud Software Engineer III to help build out platform products which deliver no-code security application development, configuration and deployment at fingertips' reach.

Foundry a Low-Code/No-Code App-Building Product allowing users to design, configure and deploy custom security applications from the ground up with a series of clean, simple drop-down menus allowing selection of features ,runtime and more. Select from a variety of features, logic and workflows to design something 100% new, or pair existing applications with additional custom functionality offered by the Falcon Platform. This product is among our most popular modules with external users. More information about the Foundry platform's capabilities can be found here: Foundry tech blog post .

The team has one of the most critical roles to play in ensuring our products are best-in-class in the industry. You will interact with product managers and other engineers in building both internal and external facing services.

Please Note: Candidates who apply and are successful must be located within the Jylland/Jutland area to ensure an accessible commute into our Aarhus Office.

What You'll Do:
  • Help design, build, and maintain key backend services/orchestration layer of platform that will be used by our customers and internal developers
  • Design and build highly scalable and resilient distributed systems
  • Work with industry-leading technologies like Apache Kafka, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, Redis and more
  • Work on cross-team platform-level initiatives and projects
  • Troubleshoot critical production issues and implement solutions
What You'll Need:
  • Experienced building streaming platforms at scale (Note: We process over a trillion events per day)
  • 4+ years of relevant work experience building backend software with SaaS delivery model
  • 2+ years of recent experience building a microservices-oriented architecture
  • Expert knowledge of any of the following backend languages: Go, Scala, Java or node.js
  • Proven expertise in building distributed systems, micro services, REST APIs
  • Production experience with commercial clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience
  • Familiarity with CI/CD and reporting tools - source code control (Git), Jenkins, metrics/log monitoring tools like Grafana, Splunk
  • Experience developing applications using SQL and No-SQL databases
Bonus Points:
  • Contributed to the open source community (GitHub, Stack Overflow, blogging)
  • Master's degree in computer science or related field
  • Golang experience
  • Prior experience with cybersecurity
