As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Technology, CAO Technology you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading SAP technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives. SAP Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivables, Fixed Assets and Project Systems modules is what we build and support. As a core technical contributor, you'll collaborate to engineer pivotal technology solutions across a range of technical domains. These solutions will drive various business functions, aligning with the firm's strategic vision.

Design and deliver market-leading technology products in a secure and scalable way as a seasoned member of an agile team. This role specifically requires SAP-ABAP skillset. Background of SAP Accounts Payable/Receivables and General ledger in combination with ABAP skillset.
Job responsibilities
- Application developer with the role of an individual contributor.
- Provide regular updates and status to management team.
- Provide guidance to junior resources and consultants on good coding practices.
- Design, develop and support application solutions with in R3 and S/4 HANA.
- Develop and/or re-engineer highly complex application components and integrate software packages, programs and reusable objects residing on multiple platforms.
- Design and implement Automated Unit testing framework to drive best practices using ABAP Units / ABAP Double.
- Develop RESTful and SOAP based API interfaces for various SAP components for external consumptions or helping setup cloud deployments.
- Help design the framework to create working prototypes using the wireframe tools and enabling the Design Thinking methodology.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills.
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts, coupled with 3+ years hands-on experience in SAP ABAP language.
- Development experience in RICEFW (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Reports & Workflow)
- Experience working with BADIs, User exits, BTE, APIs, Screen builders and Smart Forms
- Experience working in Implementation, Upgrade, Maintenance and Postproduction support projects would be an advantage.
- Object Oriented Programming using ABAP Objects is required.
- SAP HANA Technical Concept and Architecture knowledge needed.
- Experience working in Agile Projects.
- FICO background in ABAP context is preferred.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience on S4 HANA implementations along with knowledge of HANA CDS views.
- Data modelling using HANA Studio, ABAP Development Tools (ADT), Code Performance Rules and Guidelines for SAP HANA, ADBC, Native SQL, ABAP Core data Services, Data Base Procedures, Text Search, ALV on HANA, and HANA Live models consumption.
- Design and develop applications with consumption of ODATA services and experience with Restful APIs.
