As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Sector on the Workforce Technology team, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
- Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
- Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
- Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
- Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
- Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
- Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
- Design Develop, and implement scalable software solutions that meet the Human Capital Management needs of the organization.
- Develop and maintain integrations between Oracle Human Capital Management (HCM) software applications and other systems, such as Payroll, Benefits and talent management.
- Collaborate with Business Stakeholders, software engineers to understand and analyze Oracle Human Capital Management (HCM) system Requirements, code reviews and contribute to continuous improvements of software development processes
- Participate in shift schedule, including late evenings and weekends, to provide 24/7 support of our customers

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
- Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Strong understanding of Oracle Human Capital Management (HCM) Cloud processes and systems, including Core HR, Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, and Talent Management.
- Experience in debugging the Oracle Human Capital Management (HCM) Extracts , BI Reports.
- Strong understanding of Oracle Human Capital Management (HCM) DBIs and Fast Formulas.
- Experience in Oracle Human Capital Management (HCM) UI both Classic and Responsive UI
- Good understanding on Oracle Human Capital Management (HCM) Tables with Assignment, Payroll and payroll relationships.
- Hands-on experience supporting Oracle Human Capital Management (HCM) integrations , ESS jobs and batch jobs.
- Experience with databases Oracle, MYSQL, Cassandra and Scripting knowledge on SQL/PLSQL, with the ability to write complex queries and optimize database performance.
- Knowledge of integration technologies and protocols, such as REST, SOAP and JSON.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies
- Exposure to Human Resource (HR) application or functional knowledge
- Hands on experience with Kubernetes and containerization.
- Hands on Expereince with Unix commands and Unix Shell scripting.
