As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Data Platform team, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Design and develop data modeling, visualization, and reporting techniques using Qlik Sense.
- Build various types of charts for Qlik Sense Dashboard Analysis.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and team members to refine user stories and develop product features.
- Provide technical guidance and direction to support business and technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
- Develop secure, high-quality production code and review and debug code written by others.
- Drive decisions that influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in specific areas and advocate for firmwide frameworks, tools, and Software Development Life Cycle practices.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
- Hands-on experience with Qlik Suite (QlikView/Qlik Sense) and Java/J2EE application development.
- Demonstrate knowledge of RESTful Web Services using Spring Boot.
- Experience with databases such as Oracle, MySQL, and PL/SQL.
- Familiarity with DevOps CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Maven, and Cucumber.
- Implement data modeling, visualization, and reporting techniques in Qlik Sense, including creating QVD files and performing transformations.
- Develop various chart types for Qlik Sense Dashboard Analysis, implement set analysis, and manage ETL processes while maintaining technical design documentation..

- Hands on experience in Python

High Risk Roles (HRR) are sensitive roles within the technology organization that require high assurance of the integrity of staff by virtue of 1) sensitive cybersecurity and technology functions they perform within systems or 2) information they receive regarding sensitive cybersecurity or technology matters.
