Senior Lead Infrastructure Engineer

Bring your Engineering experience to the next level within the Client Services team where you will provide professional services and serve as an internal expert delivering design leadership and practical directions to solve customer's data challenges with modern distributed data databases. In this role you will be leading and managing consulting engagements with clients, collaboration with internal product team designing the as-a-service product infrastructure, and generating content (i.e., webinars, white papers, blogs, events, presentations, etc.).

As a Senior Lead Infrastructure Engineer at JPMorgan Chase in Corporate Sector, Client Services team, your role will be that of a big data technical architect for distributed databases and NoSQL. In this role you will collaborate with our global team that works with cloud-based solutions, many Open Source products and offers you limitless opportunities of growth and professional advancement! You will work and collaborate with team members who are the most senior internal experts and work directly with our clients and partners.

Job responsibilities

  • Works closely with a broad variety of teams and applications inside the whole company, ranging from product, partners, and senior business leaders.
  • Acts as a trusted advisor to a across the firm with clients from asset management to the fraud detection at one of the world's largest and best run enterprise IT organizations.
  • Focuses on understanding of the fast-moving space of database technologies, streaming, and integration tools.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on Infrastructure Engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
  • Experience with software development and architecture, including at least one distributed database or system (Snowflake, CockroachDB, DynamoDB, MongoDB, Kafka, etc)
  • Experience with traditional relational databases (Oracle, Postgres, MySql, etc) and good working knowledge of SQL.
  • Experience with Java, Scala or Python
  • Expertise with Linux
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills with the ability to visualize and communicate complex information to all levels of an organization - both internally and externally
  • Experience with scalable and highly available distributed systems
  • An undergraduate degree in Computer Science, engineering, mathematics, or related analytical field.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience working with various database products, ETL tools and financial software solutions.
  • Experience with database programming and data models
  • Certification in one or more NoSQL products
