As a Risk Reporting Associate within the Corporate Treasury Middle Office (CTMO) at JPMorgan, you will enhance your understanding of asset and liability management principles for a large financial institution with a balance sheet exceeding $4 trillion. You will develop a solid grasp of the key risk measures used by financial institutions to manage Structural Interest Rate Risk (SIRR), Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP), and liquidity risk exposure. Staying informed about industry changes and the evolving regulatory landscape as they pertain to SIRR, FTP, and liquidity risk will be crucial. You will frequently interact with senior executives and external regulators as part of ad hoc analysis requests. Additionally, you will become an expert in data management and analysis, honing your technical and programming skills with analytical and business intelligence tools such as MS Excel/Access, Tableau, Alteryx, and Databricks.

The Treasury and the Chief Investment Office (TCIO) within JPMorgan is responsible for firm wide asset and liability management for one of the world's largest global financial institutions with a $4+ trillion balance sheet, including more than $1.3 trillion in loans and $2.4 trillion in deposits. Because it sits at the very center of the firm, TCIO directly influences the composition of the firm's balance sheet as well the activities of the firm's four main lines of business (LOBs): Asset & Wealth Management, Commercial Banking, Corporate & Investment Bank, and Consumer & Community Banking.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop strong partnerships with lines of business, Technology and other CTMO peers globally to understand the end-to-end processes of transactions. This includes sourcing and analyzing the underlying financial data and scenario assumptions used to create the reports and the execution of all associated processes and controls as part of a predefined global operating model.
  • Lead projects end-to-end, support management in the planning and prioritization of technology initiatives. This includes working internally across lines of business, Technology, and with key stakeholders to track issue status, facilitate resolution of issues, and present updates at stakeholder reviews periodically.
  • Engage in the implementation of specific Risk Reporting focused projects. Perform analysis, work with technology to test new functionality and evidence test results.
  • Participate in daily and weekly MIS meetings and formal risk review sessions with internal business and risk stakeholders to review status of key issues and change management initiatives.
  • Update risk policies and procedures periodically and as needed.

Required qualifications , skills, capabilities:

  • 2+ years' experience in financial operations specifically in financial reporting, project management, balance sheet analysis and\or asset and liability or liquidity management.
  • Ability to build out a global operating model and end-to-end documentation for establishing role and responsibilities across technology, operations, project management and Line of Business teams.
  • Strong analytical skills including the ability to complete data investigations and summarize findings in a clear and meaningful way and make connections that lead to innovative business solutions.
  • Proven leadership experience including ability to facilitate project and process improvements across a large organization.
  • Strong technical skills; Experience with MS Office Suite. Experience with data visualization and analysis tools such as Tableau and Databricks
  • Independent critical thinking, problem-solving and decision-making talents.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize, multitask, and bring tasks to complete closure.
  • Organized and able to execute responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to prepare executive level presentations.

Preferred qualifications, skills, and capabilities:

  • Coding languages such as SQL and Python are a plus but not required.
