As a Project Manager in Card Risk Reporting, you will be responsible for technology driven projects to modernize our reporting and analytics tools and capabilities to improve our effectiveness and efficiency. You will leverage your broad knowledge of reporting and data processes and practices to effectively represent Card Risk Reporting as an impacted party while managing resources and cross-functional teams. Your analytical reasoning and adaptability skills will enable you to navigate through ambiguity and embrace change. The primary focus of this role will be to ensure that ongoing rigor and strong control framework is maintained during technology projects such as migration of reporting consumption tables from our Integrated Corporate Data Warehouse (Teradata) to Amazon Web Services (AWS) Snowflake. This role will work to ensure a seamless transition with no disruption to Senior Management and Regulatory reporting by managing timelines for report refactoring, coordinating validation work, and leading the change management process for risk reporting and data.

In addition to coordinating migration timelines and deliverables for Card Risk, the Card Risk Reporting Project Manager will be responsible for working with stakeholders regarding controls around data and reporting, including supporting work to certify the new data source for all card risk reporting. This role will oversee implementing evergreen data quality monitoring controls for new data sources to ensure BCBS 239 certification. This role will coordinate timelines and evidence collection of validation testing to support the change management process. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. In addition, this role will support monthly BAU reporting control processes and risk deliverables, and future project work as identified by the Card Risk Reporting Lead.
Job responsibilities
- Lead the planning and implementation of strategic data and risk reporting modernization projects, ensuring alignment with data and reporting controls and BCBS 239 regulatory requirements for Card Risk reporting.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, for Card Risk engagement in projects impacting Risk Reporting and manage project resources effectively.
- Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and mitigating risks and issues as they arise.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project team members and cross-functional stakeholders including Data Analysts, Business Analysts, Portfolio Risk Managers, IT professionals, and other stakeholders.
- Prepare and present regular project updates to Senior Management and stakeholders, highlighting key risks, mitigation strategies, and status updates.
- Participate in stakeholder management, fostering productive working relationships with cross-functional teams and clients to drive mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Assist in risk management by making informed decisions in line with the firm's risk management practices and policies, ensuring project success and compliance.
- Identify and engage with key stakeholders to ensure alignment with deliverables and timelines.
- Prepare and present regular project status reports to stakeholders and senior management, communicate project progress, issues, and risks effectively.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 4+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in project management, leading complex technology projects and programs
- Proven ability to utilize analytical reasoning and problem-solving techniques to break down objectives into manageable tasks.
- Demonstrated proficiency and experience with relevant platforms (Teradata, AWS Snowflake) and software tools/technologies (SAS, SQL, Alteryx, Tableau)
- Experience in resource optimization and/or resource planning.
- Prior experience managing diverse sets of stakeholders, establishing productive working relationships with cross-functional teams, clients, and managing project governance.
- Strong background in data management, data architecture, summary table structure design for reporting efficiency.
- Excellent project management skills, including proficiency with project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

- Prior experience driving alignment across multiple business units/leads toward a common goal is preferred
