As a Business Banking Strategic Analytics Vice President in the Consumer & Business Banking (CBB) Risk Management group, you will be responsible for analysis related to various credit risk initiatives within the risk graded business loans/lines area. You will identify, measure, develop and manage risk mitigation strategies. This role requires providing high level analytic support for complex projects that require sophisticated data analytics on large datasets. Job Responsibilities

  • Attain knowledge of Business loans and lines with full insight into emerging trends in credit risk associated with these products.
  • Acquire an understanding of the operational processes (e.g. manual underwriting, portfolio management, collections) which will aid in understanding acquisition performance drivers
  • Analyze business lending strategies and support efforts to develop risk strategies which reduce credit losses and improve revenue benefit to the firm
  • Work with modeling team on developing models and develop overlays, business rules and risk strategy using the models
  • Organize enhancements and automation of underwriting and risk strategies
  • Conduct ad hoc analytics and contribute to various projects representing Risk Management
  • Provide accurate and concise results and present findings, recommendations and presentations to Management.
  • Work independently and multitask on several projects
  • Partner with the broader team including product, modeling, underwriting, and technology

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of professional experience related to risk management or other quantitative field of work
  • Advanced understanding of SAS, SAS Enterprise Miner, SAS Viya, SQL or similar languages
  • Ability to query large amounts of data and transform the raw data into actionable insights
  • Familiarity with risk analytic techniques and strong problem solving skills
  • Experience delivering recommendations to senior management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Intellectual curiosity, self-direction with an ability to learn quickly
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience in developing risk strategies in cards, business banking, or similar portfolios
  • Knowledge of financial statements
  • Master's degree

Risk Management helps the firm understand, manage and anticipate risks in a constantly changing environment. The work covers areas such as evaluating country-specific risk, understanding regulatory changes and determining credit worthiness. Risk Management provides independent oversight and maintains an effective control environment.
