This leadership role within the Tokenization product team offers a significant opportunity to reduce fraud and enhance payment experiences through digital channels. You'll be responsible for the development and implementation of tokenization strategy for Chase, and managing Network product strategy and initiatives related to tokenization and digital payments.

As a Product Director - Payments Tokenization within the Payments organization, you will be leading the Tokenization product team. Your role will be pivotal in developing and implementing tokenization strategy for Chase and managing relationships with Network product strategy and initiatives with respect to tokenization and digital payments. You will have the opportunity to transform customer experiences, simplify the ways we do business, and promote toward product excellence. This role offers a significant opportunity to leverage tokenization and other capabilities to reduce fraud and craft better payment experiences, thereby promoting measurable P&L impact.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop, evangelize, and implement Chase's tokenization strategy by incorporating market trends from issuers, networks, and merchants, as well as leveraging Chase assets and insights.
  • Manage the tokenization product and platform to drive product operations, track metrics, and scale the platform effectively.
  • Leads the entire product life cycle through discovery, planning, execution, and future development by continuously adapting, developing new products and methodologies, managing risks, and achieving business targets like cost, features, reusability, and reliability to support growth
  • Oversee relationships with networks to track mandates and drive strategic initiatives related to tokenization.
  • Liaise with internal teams to manage fraud, servicing, risk, and controls, and track agreements with partners.
  • Drive product development in close partnership with Technology using Agile methodologies.
  • Owns product performance and is accountable for developing business cases and investing in enhancements to achieve business objectives
  • Lead and manage a team, providing guidance and support to ensure successful execution of tokenization strategies and initiatives.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 8+ years of experience delivering products, projects, and technology applications, with a focus on managing Digital Wallets, Payments, and Network Tokenization capabilities from issuer, network, and/or merchant perspectives.
  • Strong strategic thinker with the ability to proactively craft product strategy and associated product roadmap.
  • Demonstrated ability to launch products and capabilities while working with a cross-functional team.
  • Proven leadership track record in a product leadership role, including setting up high-impact teams.
  • Experience working in Agile environments is required.
  • A customer-obsessed leader with the ability to build and maintain strong, productive relationships with engineers and technical partners, and an ability to translate customer needs into clear technical requirements.
  • Strong leader to drive change through influence and collaboration across a matrix organization in a highly dynamic environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of the product development life cycle, technical design, and data analytics.
  • Proven ability to influence the adoption of key product life cycle activities, including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Team skills and ability to cross-functionally drive/influence work through others, with the ability to mentor and lead teams to achieve results for complex, ambiguous projects.
  • Skills in cost-efficient solution building, financial performance metric creation, and analysis.
  • Business acumen and knowledge of root cause analysis and problem detection.
  • Technical understanding and knowledge of the Payments industry, with the ability to provide product-specific technical training to the team.
