Job Summary
The Portfolio Analyst position primarily supports the Home Lending Capital Markets Mortgage Servicing Rights (MSR) portfolio valuation, risk management, and MSR origination pricing. The responsibilities include model development, back-testing, and development and execution of tools supporting reporting requirements.
Job responsibilities:
- Calibrate, test, and implement prepayment, credit, and home price models to support MSR valuations
- Conduct regular and ad-hoc data processing, analysis, and reporting on prepayment, home price, and credit metrics
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance model accuracy and reliability
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for model methodologies and processes
- Assist in the preparation of presentations and reports for senior management and stakeholders

Required qualifications, capabilities, skills
- Bachelor's degree in economics, statistics, mathematics, finance, or a related quantitative field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in data extraction, manipulation and visualization tools (Python, SQL, SAS, Tableau, Alteryx, , etc..) with minimum of 1 year programming experience
- Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and visualization
- Proficient understanding of fixed income analytics and financial concepts
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and technical writing skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Organized, inquisitive, self-motivated, and adaptable to changing priorities and execution timelines
- Demonstrated ability to learn new processes and technologies quickly
