This is a great opportunity to join the APAC Corporate Tax team
As an Analyst within the APAC Corporate Tax team, you will be responsible for assisting in the accurate and timely preparation of tax regulatory filings for financial institutions in the Philippines under Corporate Tax. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to participate in the analysis and implementation of changes related to new or upcoming tax laws and regulations.
Job responsibilities:
- Assist in managing corporate tax (both direct and indirect) compliance including but not limited to related internal and external tax reporting.
- Assist with transfer pricing compliance including but not limited to transfer pricing documentations and RPT Forms.
- Assist tax audits, should they arise.
- Analyze tax law/regulation changes and identify opportunities to optimize tax positions of the Philippine FI's.
- Respond to tax queries and assist with tax advisory support to Philippine business units and on tax compliance matters for the Philippine FI's.
- Work closely with external tax advisors and internal stakeholders to address tax requirements, tax issues, and other non-tax related transactions/initiatives to effectively manage related tax risks.
- Review current tax compliance and supervise tax provision process & covered general ledger tax balances.
- Ensure all related documents are collected in a central database and handle/supervise requests for information.
- Adhere to the J.P. Morgan Group's tax policies and help anticipate, manage, and communicate tax risks as necessary.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Accountancy degree and CPA license
- At least 4 years of related tax working experience
- Meticulous with details, strong analytical skills, high aptitude for numbers, and Excel proficiency
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with others in a fast paced environment
- Ability to handle multiple demands and prioritize accordingly
- Strong understanding of Philippine tax laws, regulations, and practices
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English
