As a Product Manager, Performance and Investment Analytics in Merchant Services, you are an integral part of the team that innovates new product offerings and leads the end-to-end product life cycle. As a core leader, you are responsible for acting as the voice of the customer and developing profitable products that provide customer value. Utilizing your deep understanding of how to get a product off the ground, you guide the successful launch of products, gather crucial feedback, and ensure top-tier client experiences. With a strong commitment to scalability, resiliency, and stability, you collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products that exceed customer expectations.

As Vice President of Performance and Investment Analytics in Merchant Services, you will be responsible for identifying the key product and business performance metrics most critical to success of the Acquiring Platform and Rails program, and building processes and visualizations that give executive leadership and the program consistent visibility into performance and investment against each. Foundational to your success will be an ownership mindset, coupled with strong critical thinking and analytical skills. You will be required to step into a range of technology and business situations, identify what is most important for leaders and stakeholders to understand, and determine how best to capture and present this insight to them. The insights your work provides to leadership will be a critical driver in how the program's $300M+ annual budget is allocated across markets, client segments, and lines of business, as well as how the program determines the success of each product it releases. If you are a leader with exceptional executive presence, ability to identify the right strategic approach in a range of situations, and an understanding of how to gather and present data in a way that technology and business leadership can effectively act upon, then this is the right role for you.

Job responsibilities

  • Works with executive leadership to identify critical business and product performance metrics that will drive the program's financial and market success
  • Partners with business, product, and technology groups across APR to identify existing systems and data sources, bringing into a centralized location for consistent reporting and tracking
  • Integrates disparate data and structure it within tools that facilitate seamless and repeated usage by executive leadership, providing key insights for tracking and decision-making
  • Builds the framework and tracks the product's key success metrics such as cost, feature and functionality, risk posture, and reliability
  • Creates reporting and dashboards that provide visibility into performance against expectations for key product and business-related metrics, adapting approach based on the type of offering
  • Manages relationships with key functional partners outside APR, ensuring alignment of their capabilities with APR's upcoming product releases
  • Builds compelling PowerPoint presentations that effectively communicate program performance against expectations with relevant insights into performance impact
  • Develops a product strategy and product vision that delivers value to customers
  • Leverages strong strategic thinking and analytical skills to drive decision-making processes both independently and in collaboration with executive leaders
  • Fosters a team-oriented mindset, leading within the team and collaborating with colleagues across the business to achieve shared goals

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management or a relevant domain area
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and analytical skills, demonstrated through delivery of top-tier results
  • Advanced knowledge of the product development life cycle, design, and data analytics
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, with effective project management skills and prioritization instincts necessary to meet ambitious strategic goals
  • Experience designing and implementing effective data management and analytics operations for performance-based outcomes
  • Understanding of key metrics associated with performance assessment of product delivery and business performance
  • Strong attention to detail in designing and implementing structured processes, ensuring thorough documentation and communication at each step
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders across diverse stakeholder groups, leadership levels, and functions

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Demonstrated prior experience working in a highly matrixed, complex organization
  • Bachelor's degree required, with graduate degree in a related field preferred
  • Experience in Tableau
