The Payments Industry Advocacy Team are responsible for helping position the firm's internal strategy, responding to Industry consultations, supporting Advocacy positions, and understanding and influencing Regulatory Change. The team is made up of an experienced group of SMEs who are all driven by passion to support the firm as it helps evolve the payments landscape.
As a Payments Industry and Advocacy Manager, you will represent JPMorgan Payments across relevant Payments industry bodies, actively engaging in topics and ensuring alignment with the internal strategy. You will focus on Regulatory Change, the identification and adoption across the business. You will leverage your analytical skills and business knowledge to ensure that the spirit and intent of the regulation is understood and correctly adopted.

This role will be based in Frankfurt.
Job responsibilities
- Conducts comprehensive pricing analysis to evaluate market trends, competitor pricing strategies, and client behavior
- Performs market research to understand the local needs and requirements for product improvements
- Develops and maintains a deep understanding of our products and services to effectively tailor collateral to specific markets
- Communicates regulatory guidelines to Product Managers to ensure our products meet risk and compliance requirements and are delivered on time
- Advises on the available standards, methods, tools, and applications relevant to the regulatory environment to ensure our products meet all necessary risk and compliance checks
- Represents the business at Central Bank and local Regulatory forums
- Develops the team's multi-year Industry Strategy
- Acts as a thought leader for the business i.e. publishing white papers and provides continuous thought leadership through contributions to consultation responses etc.
- Reviews regulatory changes for impact to the business
- Develops and communicate intelligence across the business
- Builds strong relationships with functional partners to develop and present JPM Payments wide responses and views
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Previous experience or equivalent expertise in Product, Technology, or Project Management
- Proven understanding of risk management and controls, regional and local nuances, and governance requirements
- Proven ability to comprehend and interpret market regulatory requirements to confirm and secure required market approvals and operational requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- In-depth understanding of the Regulatory landscape (e.g. PSD2/3, CBDCs, Interchange Fee Regulation, AMLD5/6 etc.)
- Existing relationships with Payments Trade Associations
- Excellent understanding of Acquiring, Issuing, and European Payment Rails
- Highly motivated individual with significant experience in the Payments Industry
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with strong ability to influence and build consensus
- Strategic thinking with ability to work in a systematic manner
- Articulate written and verbal communication skills
