As a Manager of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer & community banking, you lead multiple teams and manage day-to-day implementation activities by identifying and escalating issues and ensuring your team's work adheres to compliance standards, business requirements, and tactical best practices.

Job responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of ETL developers and cloud engineers to deliver high-quality data solutions.
  • Design, develop, and optimize ETL processes to support data integration and transformation needs.
  • Oversee the deployment and management of cloud-based data platforms, ensuring security, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity through effective data governance and validation processes.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot ETL and cloud systems to ensure optimal performance and resolve any issues.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for ETL processes, data models, and cloud architectures.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience
  • Experience in leading ETL + Cloud technology projects is MUST
  • Experience managing technologists
  • Proficient in automation and continuous delivery methods
  • Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
  • In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
  • Practical cloud native experience
  • Experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and expertise in technology discipline

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience working at code level
  • Lead projects ETL, JAVA and Cloud
  • AWS or any cloud certification is MUST
