The mission of J.P. Morgan Wealth Management's Investments & Adviceteam is to deepen relationships with Field Leadership and Financial Advisors, enhancing and maintaining our products, while providing them with best in industry platforms, solutions, and advice. The team partners with Advisors to provide product education and guidance, connecting the value proposition of our platforms with the short- and long-term goal of our clients.

You will support specific regions (New York, Northeast, Southeast, Central) as the Strategic Initiatives partner for the J.P. Morgan Advisors business on product sales strategy and prioritization, investment insights and advice, and recruiting focus with investment specialization at its core This role will be aligned with Wealth Partners and will focus on the High Net Worth and Ultra High Net Worth client segments. The primary objectives are to support growth efforts, manage special projects, and drive long-term strategic initiatives.

As an Executive Director on the Investment Advisory Specialists and Strategic Initiatives team you will work closely with Investments & Advice Management Team members and the Head of I&A in a matrix structure in driving & delivering results. You will be responsible for setting product-specific strategy and goals for each region The person will collaborate with Wealth Partners to share investment and product expertise, directly addressing advisors' questions and, when needed, engaging with their clients to offer insights.

You will guide advisors through our advisory offerings, including client discretionary, wealth advisor discretionary, firm discretionary, and investment manager discretionary services. You will cultivate deep expertise in program guidelines, enabling them to effectively interpret and address all advisor inquiries and needs.

To be successful in this role, you will need to understand advisor needs, be knowledgeable of the ever-evolving product and service landscape, and capable of partnering with stakeholders across the organization to deliver exceptional advisor experience. You should also possess a solid understanding of the retirement space, especially in the areas of defined contribution and defined benefit plans. You will also have a good sense of the ongoing regulatory landscape and a strong financial services industry network.

Job Responsibilities

  • Act as a liaison between the J.P. Morgan Advisors business and Centralized Due Diligence teams, identifying and resolving platform gaps, while supporting advisors in making well-informed decisions about advisory program products.
  • Execute the development and enhancement of our JPMA Advisory Programs. This includes Portfolio Manager, Portfolio Advisor, Customized Bond Portfolios, JPMorgan Core Advisory Portfolio, Strategic Investment Services (STRATIS) & Investment Counseling Service , and Unified Managed Account Your primarily focus will be client service and commercial growth of J.P. Morgan Advisory business.
  • Cover regional offices, acting as key partner to Wealth Partners in driving Assets Under Management and revenue growth.
  • Develop the product strategy and provide the field with the necessary tools and guidance to implement the strategy with clients.
  • Participate in advisor recruiting as necessary, providing insights on product and investment capabilities.
  • Strategically development of Advisory Programs
  • Gather feedback from the field to inform and prioritize product and investment initiatives with I&A partners.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

  • Knowledge of Asset Allocation and Portfolio Construction.
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • SIE, Series 7, and Series 66 licenses (mandatory to obtain within 120 days).
  • 15+ years in financial services industry with 8+ years of direct experience in, Sales & Trading, Asset or Wealth Management (Capital Markets, Wealth Management, Product Management, Investment Sales).
  • Self-starter with the capability to work independently and drive initiatives forward.
  • Team-oriented with ability to interact effectively with individuals at varying levels of the organization with different responsibilities.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to execute on multiple objectives simultaneously in a demanding environment.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • MBA is preferred.
  • Sales background is preferred.
  • Experience in the Endowments & Foundations space is preferred.
  • Experience in discussing the use of Alternative Investments in broader asset allocation and portfolio construction is preferred.
