Global Security (GS) protects the firm's employees and assets throughout the world. This responsibility includes the development of security and safety policies and procedures, regulatory and legislative compliance, security operations on a global basis to include ATM, branch and corporate building security and customer safety, executive protection, pre-employment screening, fraud investigations and technical security. This mission is executed through the implementation of technology, best-in-class talent, and client collaboration.

As an Executive Protection Security Specialist within Global Security, you will shape and execute a comprehensive security strategy, demanding high integrity, confidentiality, good judgment, and problem-solving skills under pressure, along with strong organizational and logistical capabilities. You will provide professional protection to high-ranking executives, conducts risk assessments, engages with vendors to enhance security and intelligence functions, and makes strategic recommendations for threat management and safety, all with a focus on ensuring the safety and well-being of executives.

Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Executive Director and Global Security (GS) entities-such as crisis management, intelligence, and campus security teams-to effectively manage security incidents both locally and during travel.
- Ensure an effective and discreet security presence to safeguard the principal from threats, providing seamless and unobtrusive protection while optimizing security measures to maintain safety and privacy in various environments.
- Assist in developing security protocols aligned with best practices and legal standards, conduct risk assessments, and ensure safety during executive travel, providing direct protection and support as needed.
- Maintain communication and coordination with international, federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies to support executive safety and ensure a comprehensive security network.
- Refine standard operating procedures, supporting the implementation of security platforms for executives, and advising on security measures that align with the firm's strategy.
- Partner with the GS events security team, planning staff, and global security entities to integrate executive security into large-scale events and ensure a comprehensive security approach that strengthens the overall security platform.
- Facilitate the implementation and integration of security platforms for executive areas, ensuring they align with the firm's business strategy and comply with organizational standards and emergency protocols.
- Enhance the security infrastructure by researching and adopting relevant technologies, which play a crucial part in identifying and mitigating threats, improving situational awareness, and ensuring the comprehensive safety of executives.
- Provide briefings to the principal, leadership team, and management on incidents, offering recommendations based on reports and threat assessments, and serve as a liaison for threat management and emergency response.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 10+ years of experience in roles related to security, military or law enforcement.
- Eligible to work in the United States.
- Must meet the eligibility requirements for HR-218 (Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act).
- Possess or be eligible to acquire a current New York State Armed Guard License.
- Possess or be eligible to acquire an NYC Unrestricted Concealed Carry Handgun License.
- Must be in compliance with the Lautenberg Amendment and be able to pass a comprehensive background check.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain international travel documents, such as a U.S. passport or equivalent, and possess a valid U.S. driver's license. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 35% of the time.
- Skilled in conducting pre-advance travel and risk assessments.
- Experience managing both domestic and international travel, and coordinating with federal, state, and local officials, as well as foreign government intelligence and security agencies.
- Strong physical fitness with capability of working in physically demanding and high-pressure environments.
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed.
