Job Description

The Global Real Estate (GRE) Finance team sits within the Chief Administrative Office's Finance & Business Management division. This team analyzes key components of the Firm's corporate real estate portfolio including expense and capital planning, balance sheet forecasting, headcount planning, portfolio occupancy and capacity.

As a Financial Analysis Vice President within the GRE Regional Finance team, you will be responsible for leading a team to consolidate financial results on a monthly and quarterly basis, as well as for budgets. You will also oversee the analysis of financial results and ensure the delivery of periodic management and regulatory reporting. This role demands strong analytical and presentation skills, as you will be tasked with synthesizing data into executive level materials for senior management. Working in a fast-paced environment, you should be comfortable with frequent shifts in priorities in response to LOB and senior leadership requests.

Job responsibilities

  • Direct preparation of monthly capital reporting package; oversee analyses of capital data to provide insights into capital spend, variances to budget and/or prior outlook, and potential impact on the age of the portfolio
  • Manage the quarterly balance sheet forecast process and bi-annual forecast for regulatory submission; perform variance analysis to understand the key drivers of the results and provide commentary explaining changes from prior forecasts/budgets to senior leadership
  • Track financial metrics, create presentations, and generally provide financial analysis on a variety of topics to senior leadership
  • Oversee the preparation of materials for monthly Capital Steering Committee
  • Enhance controls and streamline processes, introducing automation where possible

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 6+ years of business and financial management experience, 2+ years of leadership / people management
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, sharp analytical/quantitative skills and ability to analyze large data sets and draw conclusions, with an eye for detail but focused on the 'big picture'
  • Strong relationship building with proven experience of collaborating with and influencing others across functions, products, and locations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience presenting to senior executives
  • Execution-orientated and able to complete tasks independently
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to handle multiple deliverables simultaneously; must be comfortable with fast changing priorities
