Global Corporate Bank - Corporate Banker - Vice President

You will be working in a team having access to internal/external senior management to drive client relationship and collaborate with professionals across the firm to develop tailored financial solutions for our clients.

As a senior member of the Global Corporate Bank (GCB) team, You will assume the relationship management role in managing a dedicated local corporate portfolio for mainly TMT sector. Working closely with the different product partners; Investment Banking coverage bankers and Credit partners, the incumbent will maximize the firm-wide revenues through cross-selling and achieve target returns for the bank. The incumbent will focus on managing the firm's relationship with the Treasurer and Treasury staff of the client. Primary Product Focus will be Debt products (Loans, Syndications, ABS), FX and Derivatives, Commodities Derivatives, Trade & Logistics Finance and Core Cash Management and Liquidity products.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Acquire, build and maintain a holistic relationship management role with a target client base of 15-20 accounts
  • Take accountability to formulate and implement the account plans for the client portfolio working closely with product partners with a cross-sell strategy
  • Focus on growing the portfolio, identifying and securing new business opportunities and increasing the bank's share of wallet across the client base
  • Partner with Client Credit Management all credit related needs and facilitate the internal approvals from Balance Sheet Committee
  • Conduct comprehensive client analysis to identify business needs that can be met with JPMorgan's broad array of corporate banking products across debt capital markets, risk management, treasury and securities services and asset management: Conversion of client analysis into concrete financial solutions

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline
  • At least 8 years of relevant relationship management experience in an corporate banking business with global capabilities
  • A proven track record of originating new business
  • Solid knowledge of flow derivatives, FX, commodities, transaction banking and securities processing
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong credit structuring/documentation skills
  • Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluent Japanese and business level English
