As a Financial Controller in our Financial Control team, you will ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. You will work closely with us to maintain the general ledger and ensure compliance with firmwide standards. Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure the accuracy and validity of general ledger accounts.
  • Adhere to firmwide General Ledger Reconciliation & Substantiation (GLRS) standards.
  • Implement and identify opportunities for efficiency in P&L and Balance Sheet controls.
  • Analyze, communicate, and resolve material variances between the general ledger and upstream systems.
  • Collaborate with business and risk managers to address financial control issues.
  • Build and maintain partnerships across various product-aligned businesses.
  • Influence middle and front office partners to deliver business solutions.
  • Critically challenge processes to identify control issues.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • Excellent desktop, spreadsheet, and database skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic understanding of securities and derivatives products.
  • Ability to liaise effectively with business and risk managers.
  • Strong analytical skills and understanding of complex processing systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a constantly changing environment.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Existing relationships and networks within the firm's IB community.
  • Experience in financial control or related fields.
  • Familiarity with general ledger systems and their interdependencies.
  • Proven ability to influence and deliver solutions to business issues.
  • Experience in a global financial environment.
