This role provides an excellent opportunity to apply your critical thinking and problem-solving skills in a dynamic and challenging environment.

As an Events Management Associate you will be delivering first-class service by adhering to local and global operating standards. Handle day to day challenges with a proactive approach. You will also spearhead event execution with members from Information Technology, Security, Facilities, Dining Services, and external vendors among others.

Job responsibilities

  • Coordinate meetings and events. Work with internal and external partners in catering, audio visual and facilities to meet the clients' expectations. Meet and greet each client daily, provide personalized customer service.
  • Demonstrate business and management principles, assists with strategic planning, resource allocation, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
  • Ensure maximum utilization of space to achieve yearly utilization goals
  • Maintain a professional, flexible, "can-do" level of service
  • Lead daily operations meeting as well as weekly review with the team
  • Execute pre conference call/meeting, and post conference call/meeting when applicable
  • Manage space issues, escalate unresolved issues to manager
  • Cover reception desk essential functions; answering telephone calls, returning emails promptly as required
  • Master the usage of EMS (Event Management System) or equivalent room booking systems to detail reservations, review in-coming requests and present proper reports
  • Provide weekly/monthly reports and presentations- MIS reports, event forecast, event history etc.
  • Execute security, health & safety and fire life safety protocol, including issue escalation process and adhere to all compliance procedures including accurate data entry for reporting purposes.

Required qualifications, skills and capabilities:

  • Five (5) plus years of experience in 5-star hotels, Event Planning, and Food & Beverage focusing on excellent customer service and achieving goals
  • Applies problem solving methodology for decision making and follow up
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability and drive to interact with clients and senior executives.
  • Effectively manage guest experience and expectations through high level of tact and diplomacy
  • Highly organized with the ability to multi-task and apply judgment to priority
  • Flexibility to deal with a fast-paced, diverse environment
  • Experience in using leading Event Management or Hotel Booking Systems
  • Working knowledge of audio visual systems
  • Proficiency in using, MS Office Word, Excel and Outlook , Open Tables
  • Must be willing to work flexible shifts covering conference center hours and locations
