The newly formed Data Product Office will create a firmwide strategy and plan for the creation and management of re-usable data products to accelerate the delivery of analytics (BI and AI) and drive data value realization

As a Data Product Lead, you will work across the firmwide chief data office and line of business data and analytics teams to operationalize the Data Product Office and create buy-in for the data product vision among line of business and functional stakeholders.

Job responsibilities:

• Working with Data Strategy team and Data Product Managers, document best practices for defining and managing data products

• Work with business function Data Product Managers to help develop data products that satisfy and simplify foundational reporting needs

• Lead the implementation and adoption of data product standards

• Develop data product manager training program content, including certification and tracking process for all Data Product Managers across the firm

• Working with data producers, data owners, and data consumers, ensure data products published in the firmwide catalog are consistent with and adhere to firmwide data product standards

• Develop requirements for firmwide data metrics including on data products, data use, and data strategy OKRs

• Engage consumers of data products to assess consumer satisfaction, understand requirements (e.g. for data product discoverability)

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Deep experience in creation and management of data for BI and AI
  • Knowledge of data product/data mesh principles
  • Knowledge of risk and controls framework for data
  • Expertise creating data assets in partnership with analytics teams (use case specific data products, AI-ready data products)
  • Experience designing organizations, building teams, leading data and analytics functions in financial services
  • Strong knowledge of data acquisition, modeling, and analysis techniques
  • Strong business acumen, ability to translate needs/requirements into strategies and plans
  • Experience delivering data solutions that deliver tangible business value
  • Knowledge of data ontologies and industry standards for cataloging and managing data products
  • Degree in computer science, information systems, or data science

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Advanced degree in business or in quantitative discipline
  • Experience building, managing, organizing data products in large organizations, preferably financial services
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, influence, and diplomatic skills
