As a Data Management Lead at JPMorgan Chase within the Chief Data & Analytics team, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives

Job responsibilities

  • Maintain a Firmwide Metrics Operating Reporting platform for data-driven decision-making through visualizations, reports, and dashboards to communicate non-compliance.
  • Lead the FDRM Operations team, supporting Agile/Kanban methodologies for project delivery and data analytics for stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, and stakeholders to understand and meet reporting requirements, including developing dashboards for the Chief Data Analytics Office and Firmwide Data Risk Leads.
  • Conduct requirements analysis for data analytics and lead the annual data risk metrics assessment across LOB/CF CDOs and Firmwide Data Risk Leads.
  • Create a backlog and roadmap for data visualization needs, partnering with business and technology partners and data standards teams to identify necessary data sources.
  • Lead automation efforts, establish data contracts with upstream sources, and support FDRM Governance Product Managers in project delivery and BAU metrics development.
  • Stay updated on industry trends in data analytics, interact with UX designers and product owners for feedback, and adapt to a fast-paced environment with changing requirements.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in data management and operational leadership, focusing on data risk and governance in dynamic, data-intensive environments.
  • Technical skills in SQL, Alteryx, Tableau, advanced Excel, and Python (or other automation tools) to creatively solve operational challenges and improve efficiencies; advanced analytics methods are a plus.
  • Proficient in Jira and capable of quickly understanding, extracting, and manipulating unfamiliar data environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at various organizational levels, guiding discussions and decision-making processes.
  • Experience in roles requiring strong verbal, written, documentation, and communication skills, including conducting end-user requirements analysis.
  • Ability to earn respect from individuals and teams, willing to actively participate and support team efforts, and communicate effectively with internal and external thought leaders.
  • Motivational and inspirational presence, facilitating discussions, driving alternative approaches, and promoting transparency and business growth.
