CDAO CAO Records Champion
As a Records Champion, you will be responsible for ensuring our Data assets are managed effectively, securely, and in compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. You will be the steward of data integrity and will support the evaluation, design and improvements to control frameworks which mitigates Data related risk, foster a culture of Data Privacy awareness, and escalate issues to appropriate CAO leadership and governance forum(s) as necessary.
Job Responsibilities / Role:
- Oversee the classification, organization, and maintenance of records, ensuring they are accessible, secure, and compliant with legal and regulatory requirements
- Implement and manage a records retention schedule to ensure timely and compliant disposal of records
- Work closely with the Data Use, Data Privacy and Protection, and Data Storage, Retention, and Destruction teams to ensure consistent adherence to firmwide policies and standards.

Technical / Functional Skills Required:
- In-depth knowledge of data governance frameworks, records management principles, regulatory requirements, control and risk management concepts with the ability to evaluate controls, create procedure and process flows in conjunction with business and control partners
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- 3 to 5+ years experience in Financial services, within the Data Management & Governance function
- Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree highly desirable
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Knowledge of Global Data Privacy Laws (e.g. GDPR, CCPA etc.) and requirements with an ability to relate/ translate privacy, compliance and legal requirements into data governance processes, procedures and controls
- Professional certification in data governance or records management (e.g., Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), Certified Records Manager (CRM)) is advantageous
