Job responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software applications with a focus on credit risk and business transformation.
- Build and optimize enterprise workflow applications to streamline business processes.
- Develop and integrate APIs using Java/Python to enhance application functionality and interoperability.
- Build workflows as a Citizen Developer, leveraging low-code/no-code platforms to create efficient and effective solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
- Implement and manage databases, ensuring data integrity, security, and performance.
- Apply data science techniques to analyze and interpret complex data sets, providing actionable insights.
- Utilize Python libraries such as Streamlit, Seaborn, pandas, NumPy, and scikit-learn for data visualization, manipulation, and application development.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues in a timely manner.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
- Provide regular updates on project status to management and stakeholders. Prepare status reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing relevant information.
- Analyze process flows, identify areas for process improvement, and document best practices to manage continuous improvement initiatives.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in software development and Data Science.
- Proficiency in Java and Python programming languages.
- Proven experience in building and maintaining enterprise workflow applications.
- Extensive experience with API development and integration using Java.
- Strong understanding of data science principles and techniques.
- Solid knowledge of database management systems (e.g., SQL).
- Experience with Python libraries such as Streamlit, Seaborn, pandas, NumPy, and scikit-learn.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Expertise in Python for data manipulation, analysis, and automation. Experience with libraries such as pandas, NumPy, and scikit-learn is highly desirable. Proven experience in Python development, including writing and maintaining code, debugging, and implementing best practices.
- Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies and tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Experience with tools like Alteryx for data blending and advanced analytics, and Tableau for data visualization and dashboard creation is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, CFA, FRM) are a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of combined experience in Python/Java development, including writing and maintaining code, debugging, and implementing best practices.
