As a Compliance Risk Management Lead, you will effectively partner with the Card Line of Business (LOB) and global/regional Compliance teams; including Internal Audit, Operational Risk and other Control functions. You will need to possess the appropriate knowledge and experience in Compliance, as well as familiarity with regulatory and/or audit best practices. Knowledge of the Card business will also be helpful.

In this role, you may provide Compliance coverage for the Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) Card business, in addition to serving as the team's subject matter expert for specific regulations in executing the following Core Practices: Governance and Oversight, Regulatory Management, Policies and Procedures, Training and Awareness, Monitoring and Testing, Issue Management, Risk Assessment and Reporting, and Risk Control Self-Assessment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the Card Compliance team for the effective execution of the firm-wide Compliance Program.
  • Provide Compliance oversight within the CCB Card Services organization to address regulatory requirements, including advice in alignment with CCOR core practices: governance and oversight, regulatory management, policies and procedures, training and awareness, monitoring and testing, issue management, corrections, risk assessment and reporting.
  • Challenge the status quo by providing critical and analytical thinking and demonstrating strong decision making capabilities. Identify problems, propose creative solutions, and escalate as necessary.
  • Stay abreast of the evolving regulatory landscape (federal, state, & local) to provide Compliance guidance to the Card Services organization on regulatory risk created by new and existing products, projects and processes.
  • Perform analysis to identify concerns and control issues, determine root cause and actionable solutions and ensure stakeholders develop and implement appropriate corrective actions
  • Develop management, stakeholder, and regulator presentations in order to communicate issues, recommendations, and status of initiatives

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor's, Masters or Legal degree or comparable work experience required.
  • 5+ years banking experience specifically in Compliance, Legal, Risk, Controls, or Audit
  • Knowledge and understanding of Credit Card products
  • Excellent decision maker with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written and attention to detail
  • Detail-oriented; possess a high-level of attention to detail and quality for their work product
  • Excellent analytical skills, strong relationship management and negotiation skills
  • Experience using the MS Suite of products
  • Ability to work both independently and as a core team member

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experienced professional with a strong compliance or regulatory background, Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) preferred
