As a Product Controller in our Finance team, you will spend each day defining, refining and delivering set goals for our firm.

The team conducts robust financial analytics, manages the calculation and administration of client rebate payments, and is responsible for profitability modeling and reporting for the Commercial Card organization. The Commercial Card Finance team plays an integral role in providing consultative support to help the organization achieve its overall growth and profitability targets.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review and pay Commercial Card client rebates. Read and interpreting client contracts
  • Verify system generated rebate calculation are in accordance with client contracts. Use and/or build complex excel files to calculate client rebates in accordance with the client contract.
  • Review all referral partners payments made to 3rd party clients ensuring accurate timely and accurate payments.
  • Mentor and lead a high performing 5-7-member team to manage efficient process delivery. Work closely with LOB Tech on key projects for process improvements including application enhancements.
  • Review various key control activities including database reconciliations and reviewing of rebate/report output.
  • Learn the data flow that supplies the rebate process and partner with Technology and Internal Product partners to ensure data is received accurately and timely.
  • Work closely with Sales, Account Management, Legal, Operations, Controls and Risk
  • Build and maintain excellent relationships with internal clients and colleagues.
  • Ensure continued focus on process improvement and high control focused environment.
  • Manage ad-hoc business requests and address them with sense of urgency.
  • Understand and contribute to the E2E control framework of the business & the function.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Minimum of 7+ years relevant experience in Accounting or Finance.
  • Interpersonal skills - Candidate must demonstrate the ability to closely partner with senior managers and other stakeholders on client rebate and finance analysis projects.
  • Superior Microsoft Office skills.
  • Project management skills - Candidate must be organized, have strong attention to detail and able to meet commitments and manage multiple tasks at the same time.
  • Problem solving skills - Candidate must demonstrate the ability to identify key issues, gather data to investigate those issues and develop actionable recommendations; candidate should be able to maintain point of view in the face of resistance.
  • Communications skills - Candidate must possess strong written and oral communications skills.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • CA/MBA Finance/Accounting strongly preferred.
