Tax Cost is responsible for 1099 and 1042s updates related to position / lot level acquisition cost, acquisition date and tax code for securities held in client accounts. Team supports specific lot allocation to transfers and trades and ensures accurate gain/loss reporting in the 1099s. Team is also responsible to maintain tax data integrity for all Private Bank clients related to W8 / W9 inputs / updates.
Job Responsibility:
- Possess strong knowledge on US Tax and Financial securities (1099 / W8, W9 / 1042S)
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of operational procedures.
- Understand, follow and demonstrate compliance with all Risk and Control regulations.
- Identify, evaluate and deliver process improvement initiatives.
- Ensure that documentation is maintained up to date.
- Monitoring and chasing queries to ensure timely completion based on deadlines/urgency/escalations.
- Taking process trainings for new joiners.

Required qualification, skills and capabilities:
- Knowledge of financial instruments, corporate actions/trade life cycle, security transfers preferred
- Manage operations with minimal or no supervision.
- Strong analytical skills with high accuracy and attention to details.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong Client Focus: adhering to response time to client and maintaining high client satisfaction.
