As a Control Manager Vice President, you'll be responsible for leading and building out an enhanced control framework which supports a continuous and integrated approach to risk assessment. Additionally, you will ensure the team assists in top down risk analysis, real time control issue detection, escalation, root cause analysis and remediation.

Job Responsibilities

The role will be a mix of supporting the routine business control activity of the team and contribution to the change management agenda.

  • Provide advice and support execution for the identification, assessment, monitoring and uplift of risk at business, Legal entity and locational level
  • Review, challenge and test existing controls
  • Facilitate internal audit, compliance testing and other testing process for the business
  • Facilitate external regulatory exam for the business
  • Maintain risk and control documentation
  • Lead regulatory change management process for the business
  • Facilitate new product initiative for the business
  • Support critical business control forums including providing the agenda, liaison with business and functional representatives, recording actions and ensuring appropriate follow up
  • Develop and enhance the existing governance around the business including new policies and procedures, process enhancement, building and maintaining a robust governance framework
  • Participate in regional and global controls initiatives and projects that impacting China Investment Banking
  • Develop and deliver targeted control training and communication to the business.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Fluent in Chinese and English
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Finance, Business management, Operations, Compliance or risk and control functions
  • Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or other related background
  • Relevant understanding of Investment Banking Products
  • Strong knowledge around securities business and regulatory environment in China
  • Strong Business Analysis skills
  • Strong technical knowledge and ability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills; comfortable interacting with cross-business line and cross functional partners
  • Good influencing skills
  • Good project management skills
  • Ability to translate regulatory requirements and new concepts to the existing business model/environment
  • Self-starter, independent worker, and ability to multitask
  • Excellent organizational and follow through skills; detail oriented
  • Mandatory to pass corresponding Securities Association of China (SAC) examination for General Professional practice qualification in securities companies
