DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Evaluate the compliance of quantitative and qualitative processes with regulatory rules related to capital adequacy of requirements issued by the Federal Reserve Board. Review quantitative models belonging to different risk stripes from the perspective of compliance with Basel rules and other supervisory guidance from regulatory agencies with an aim to flag any potential irregularities. Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure conformance of internal policies and procedures with regulatory expectations. Analyze and interpret changes in regulatory rules to assess their impacts in terms of regulatory capital requirements. Perform periodic assessments of the Firm's implementation of the Basel capital rules and deep dives into areas where a rule is complex or application of the rule would materially impact calculation of risk-weighted assets. Collaborate and interact with teams across the Firm to drive capital risk management and adherence to regulatory policy.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Business Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Finance, Economics, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Capital Risk Lead, Financial Risk Management VP/Senior Associate, Business Analyst, Economist/Financial Economist, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a PhD in Business Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Finance, Economics, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Capital Risk Lead, Financial Risk Management VP/Senior Associate, Business Analyst, Economist/Financial Economist, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires three (3) years of experience with the following: owning completeness testing performed to support model implementation correctness including the robustness of numerical aspects, as well as the suitability and comprehensiveness of model's performance and risk metrics; critically evaluating the potential impact of model limitations and deviations from model assumptions from the perspective of regulatory rules compliance; comparing model outputs with empirical evidence and outputs from model benchmarks; leading the execution of direct empirical studies and statistical and data analyses; risk management with at least one of the following: (1) regulatory aspects finance, (2) project management, (3) accounting policy, (4) assessing the extent of data availability and the quality of the data that is used in RWA and Capital calculations to ensure the accuracy of key data elements, (5) audits including the participation in regulatory audits and exams and working to address any concerns or gaps raised, or (6) taking in the key elements of regulatory rulemaking, interpreting regulatory policies and assessing impacts on the organization; risk models, CCAR models, pricing models, or risk analytics; working in technology and operations on the development side or the process control side. This position requires two (2) years of experience with the following: quantitative modeling or model review in at least 1 of the following: core regulatory capital frameworks Market Risk, Wholesale Credit Risk, Retail Credit Risk, Counterparty Credit Risk.

Full-Time. Salary: $185,658 - $209,000 per year.
