As a Banking Book Product Owner - Associate within the Firmwide Finance Business Architecture team (FFBA) you'll be involved in large-scale infrastructure programs and business process change management events, contributing to the Global Finance organization's Data Acquisition & Consumption, Financial & Management Reporting, and General Ledger Target Platform Strategies. This role is key in evolving the organization towards a globally consistent and usable data and reporting strategy.

You will work for FFBA team, which is accountable for leading large-scale data, infrastructure, and accounting standard changes, as well as business process change management events. It also serves as the Chief Data Office for Finance and the Treasury Chief Investment Office (TCIO). The team also provides a centralized program management and business analysis capability, targeted program governance, and consistent application of program management standards including system testing and change management practices, with a current focus on overseeing the Data Acquisition framework for strategic and legacy Finance, TCIO, and Wholesale Credit Risk platforms.

Job responsibilities:

  • Work as a part of bigger Product Owners team, where you will be driving specific changes from our Book of Work
  • Manage the end-to-end Software Development lifecycle from the requirements gathering to grooming to develop to testing and deployment
  • Interpret corporate consumers' change demands and create business requirements in the form of user stories to enhance data quality and enable reporting automation
  • Engage with development teams to ensure business needs are translated into appropriate technical specifications, and acceptance criteria is met
  • Work closely with Release Management team, aligning delivery of changes to the scheduled deployment plan
  • Work with Lines of Business (LOB) to understand their products, how data is captured, and how to strategically source data into a cloud based big data architecture
  • Understand various Lines of Business and asset class data and source system flows and complexities as it relates to the Finance and Risk applications and infrastructure

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Exposure to data analysis, change management and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Experience in planning, coordinating, and delivering results across multiple teams and interdependencies
  • Must be detail oriented, organized, highly responsible and exhibit strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Able to communicate effectively, lead, influence and build strong relationships at all levels
  • SQL data querying
  • Overall strong desktop skills with particular emphasis in Microsoft Excel
  • 3+ years of related experience including a bachelor's degree
  • Understanding/Experience in Agile delivery
  • Knowledge and experience of traditional banking products (Loans, Commitments, Collateral)

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Understanding of Financial and/or Regulatory reporting processes
  • Experience in the requirements gathering and documentation process
  • Familiarity with tools such as JIRA and Confluence
  • Familiarity with Alteryx, Tableau, Databricks, and AWS would be advantageous
  • Certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Scrum Master, or Scrum Product Owner are nice to have
