The Bank Regulatory Legal - Associate Counsel will be a general corporate transactional lawyer responsible for supporting the Bank Regulatory Legal Group, reporting to a Bank Regulatory Legal, Executive Director in New York. The responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with the Bank Regulatory Legal Group to learn key areas of U.S. banking law applicable to JPMorgan Chase and its global operations with an objective of supporting the Group in its central role advising the Firm on the application of a broad range of U.S. banking law requirements to its global operations.
- Assist with drafting enterprise-wide regulatory policies and procedures and liaising with stakeholders across the firm.
- Assist with reviewing and negotiating legal documentation (e.g., stock purchase agreements and shareholders' agreements) for U.S. bank regulatory issues.
- Conduct legal research and analyze laws, regulations and developments on bank regulatory issues.
- Engage in other special projects as needed.

Qualifications:
- Law Degree and membership in jurisdictional organization. Attorney candidates must be in compliance with all relevant licensing requirements including the requirements of the jurisdiction where the role will be located prior to commencement of employment.
- Minimum of 3 years of Mergers and Acquisition (M&A) or corporate law experience in a major law firm and/or financial institution - preferred.
- Excellent English language skills, both spoken and in writing - required.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills - required.
- Self-starter, ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with demanding deadlines and international colleagues - required.
- Experience or interest in financial services regulation - required.
- Strong and effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills - required.
- Maintain confidentiality of information.
