Your role will involve collaborating with various teams to resolve complex queries and issues, as well as presenting risk issues to senior management to aid in informed decision-making. You will play a crucial role in influencing senior stakeholders and promoting change across departments.

The role sits within the Global Custody Asset Servicing Middle Office Risk team who are primarily responsible for managing the risk for all complex voluntary corporate action and income related events across all asset classes and markets from event inception to payment. The team is also responsible for managing complex queries and issues raised by various teams including Middle office client facing teams, client service and core operational processing teams. The individual will ideally have significant experience in managing Asset Servicing Risk, and a prior track record in presenting risk issues to senior management to enable considered decision making on large exposure items. Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive change across departments is also essential
Job responsibilities:
- Provide subject matter expertise in technical, domain, and operational aspects of asset servicing.
- Recommend and implement process improvements and participate in strategic business initiatives.
- Drive change and firmwide initiatives, serving as an escalation contact for the team.
- Lead a team of Subject Matter Experts, providing direction and feedback.
- Mitigate and escalate identified risks and controls.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Extensive experience in Corporate Actions processing and Asset Servicing product lifecycle.
- Strong understanding of Corporate Actions and Income accounting entries.
- Thorough understanding of risks associated with Asset Servicing products.
- Experience in client service and middle office operations.
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage relationships with senior stakeholders across departments.
- Experience in investment banking or global custody operational areas (Trades, Cash, FX, and Reconciliations).
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to deliver within tight timeframes and minimal supervision.
- Extensive experience in leading and developing large teams.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Familiarity with the financial services industry.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools like Tableau or Alteryx
