DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Partner closely with Line of Business Planning and Analysis (P&A) teams to discover and analyze the current state of financial data, workforce data, forecasting, and analytics needs and requirements by conducting data driven analysis. Design and present proposals to optimize the data models to enable Planning and Analysis team access to larger scale datasets, more granularity and provide them with optionality for consumption patterns and tools. Design logical data models and physical data models for Planning and Analysis related data domains, including reference data, financial actuals, financial forecasts, headcount, and others, and facilitate the implementation effort and end-to-end delivery in the cloud based data lakehouse, partnering with engineering, data science and business teams. Design integration solutions between to share data in both directions, orchestrate workflow steps and manage exceptions. Design and specify data sourcing processes from other data lakes and domains into the Planning and Analysis data lake house data models. Create data glossaries, dictionaries, transformation logic and lineage documentation in the enterprise data catalog with dual focus on the technical aspects of the data model, and the data usage by analysts, developers, and executives. Guide and support data consumers about how to leverage the data products in their use cases for analytics, planning and calculations, focusing on what data elements are available, how to extract the right granularity from the data lake and on the use of data processing tools to make data fit for purpose.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Analytical Finance, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Financial Engineering, Data Science, or in a related field of study plus 1 year of experience in the job offered or as Financial Analysis, Product Management and Support, or in a related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Analytical Finance, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Financial Engineering, Data Science, or in a related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Financial Analysis, Product Management and Support, or in a related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires one (1) year of experience in the following: Designing data models using relational and dimensional modeling paradigms; Designing data pipelines to hydrate data models, denormalize data, and hydrate multidimensional analytic models; Using Python and SQL programming languages to perform data analysis on financial data, calculate financial performance metrics, build data pipelines and ETL (extract, transform, load processes), and to optimize the performance of SQL queries and python programs; Using Python language to design and develop API clients for databases and external data service providers; Using APIs, databases and python to integrate data sources with financial forecast statistical models. This position requires any amount of experience in the following: Building Business Intelligence reports and dashboards from databases; Building financial forecasts and data models for financial services and products including mortgages, mortgages backed securities, asset backed securities, residential and commercial wholesale loans, and auto loans; Working with data consumers, data providers and data analysts and modelers to understand needs, identify areas of opportunity and document detailed specifications for implementing forecast calculations and analytical capabilities; Leading the end-to- end product lifecycle from ideation to delivery, partnering with engineering teams and operation teams; Acting as a product management and product owner for data products, including managing backlog, working with scrum teams following agile methodology, and using Jira; Coordinating cross functional teams to establish daily data operation, demonstrate conceptual product ideas to stakeholders, and train consumers on how to consume the data using analytic capabilities.

Full-Time. Salary: $144,000 - $205,000 per year.
