As a Research& Analytics Intern in the 2025 China Seasonal Internship Program, you will participate in a 6-month program designed to provide a realistic career experience with the firm and exposure to top professionals across functions. Over the course of the program you will be provided the necessary training and also learn a great deal from your colleagues and teammates. You will also get opportunities to meet senior colleagues and continue building your own professional network. You will develop essential knowledge and skills, and it is an outstanding first step towards building a dynamic, long term career with us.

JPMorgan initially set up the Centralized Research Group (CRG) in Mumbai in August 2002 to provide research and analytical support to its Global Investment Bank, supporting bankers with customized intelligence on targeted companies, sectors and markets, analyzing potential business opportunities and preparing client marketing materials. In 2004, CRG Shanghai was set up to add to the successful roll-out of the Mumbai CRG team and provide multi-lingual research support.

At CRG, you will be closely integrated with Asia coverage banker teams. In-depth industry and capital market knowledge, financial analysis along with excellent communication and presentation skills will be the key skills to support Investment Bankers. CRG team members come from diverse educational backgrounds with strong academic performance and relevant work experience.

Job responsibilities

  • Help analyze trends in the financial markets
  • Build valuation models
  • Evaluate different companies' financing and risk management practices
  • Provide cutting-edge data analytics to optimize business decisions and develop end-to-end client-ready materials

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Intellectually inquisitive and highly motivated self-starter with problem solving mindset
  • Working knowledge of finance and accounting
  • Analytical aptitude and ability to learn new concepts
  • Good language skills (Chinese and English) are essential
  • Close attention to details and ability to work to very high standards
  • Capacity to work under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Pursuing a Bachelor / Masters' degree qualification with solid academic background and final year student with expected graduation of December 2025 through July 2026
  • Be able to work for at least 3 working days per week and last for 6 months

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Proficiency in Python/VBA/SQL programming will be a great plus
  • Language skills like Korean or Japanese will be a great plus

Holding the permanent right to work in Mainland China is required

Relocation assistance for flight and accommodation will not be provided
